Name: Mr Dale Young Stars 5 Review: What a fantastic week we've just spent at Low Jock Scar for our family reunion. The houses and gardens were absolutely beautiful, impeccably clean and had everything needed for a very comfortable visit. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, and the milk and biscuits left for us was a lovely treat. Thanks for a great time, we'll definitely be back again one day Display Name: Dale Young Review Date: 23/08/2024 21:11:18
Mrs Finnuala Cottle Stars:5 Review: What an amazing place for our family groups’ annual get together in the Lakes. Nice to be on the edge of lakes but still close to shops and restaurants in Kendal and great walks. The garden and grounds are so pretty and the cottages are all very comfortable and finished to such a high standard. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and helped with local info for walks and activities. Everything was perfect and the hot tubs were a big bonus for tired legs after walking. Ideal for families or groups who want to stay close to each other but still have their own space. Display Name: Mrs Finnuala Cottle
Ms Parm Sansoyer Stars 5 Review: We have stayed at many places in the Lakes but now would not choose anywhere else. The estate surpassed any expectations we had and was perfect for the group to celebrate a 60th birthday combined with a walking holiday. The grounds are idyllic with a stream and superbly maintained. The cottages are immaculate and cleaned to the highest standard. The hot tubs further add the element of luxury to an already perfect setting and accommodation. The hosts Daryl and Kerry are such nice people and could not do enough to make our stay perfect. Highly recommended and we are going to book it again and again. Display Name: Ms Parm Sansoyer
Mr James Campbell Stars:5 Review: I recently had the pleasure of staying at the charming Low Jock Scar, nestled in a peaceful valley. My family and I stayed in Riverside Cottage, which provided ample space both indoors and outdoors. The owners, Daryl and Kerith, were extremely welcoming and helpful. They shared valuable insights about the local area that enhanced our stay (thank you). Our six-year-old son had a fantastic time playing football in the spacious garden, while the nearby river provided the perfect opportunity to skip stones. The hot tub was a delightful addition, just a few steps from the house. One of the best things about Low Jock Scar is its ideal location. It's far enough away from the local towns, allowing us to fully appreciate the tranquillity of the valley. However, it's also conveniently located near to popular attractions like Lowther Castle and Windermere, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, I would highly recommend Low Jock Scar. Daryl and Kerith were exceptional hosts, and the cottage provided everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We'd definitely consider visiting again in the future. Mrs Linzi Bolland Stars 5 Review: What an absolutely beautiful place. Fabulously well kept cottages as well as the gardens. Both Kerith and Daryl couldn’t do more for us. I can’t wait to stay here again.
Mrs Yvonne Robinson Stars:5 Review: What an amazing place for our large extended family to stay! As a family group we all had our own place to stay in the 4 properties and able to enjoy everyone’s company throughout. The cottages are very comfortable, clean and have everything you need, including basics tea, coffee, washing liquid etc. The gardens, grounds, stream, wildlife etc gave us all the opportunities to be together in a peaceful secluded environment. Low Jock Scar was a brilliant base for us to enjoy the Lake District. Finally Kerith and Daryl thank you for all your help before and during our stay. Robinson Family
