Tankerton is a hidden gem, open and spacious with easy parking and a large green expanse, 'The slopes', where you get the greatest views of the seafront. Jojo's an award winning tapas restaurant is located on the slopes with sea views, a great place for lunch or dinner.

No need to miss out on any of the hustle and bustle of Whitstable life it is a 15 minute walk along the front where the crowds await. Whitstable is packed with amazing restaurants and independent boutiques along side some more obscure spaces and outlets.
I own a vintage and retro ladies clothes shop on the beach at Keams yard opening April - September only situated in- between Keams yard Gallery and Kent and London hand made furniture store. A short distance from Pearsons pub and restaurant and the famous Native Oyster Restaurant, where you can buy the world famous whitstable oysters.
The night life is great you can choose how much of it you would like to soak up there are always live bands in many of the local pubs, Whitstable is well known and respected for its live music. It's at this point when I am always happy to be living in Tankerton returning to the quite and calmness for sleep.
I would post that this destination is a great all rounder there are many other great places to visit with easy access from here by car or train the station is only a short walk away.
The house is very well placed for all your needs and great access at the end of the road is Tankerton high street where you will find a mini Tesco's, very handy, many take aways, a micro brewery pub The Tankerton Arms , The Wine shop\bar, restaurants and more. The bus stop is also very conveniently placed at the end of the road you can hop on a bus either to come home or go out for the evening in Whitstable or Canterbury, Whitstable being only 5 minutes away.

Hi, I'm Amanda and this is my 3 children and parent Alex. We have lived in Whitstable \ Tankerton for over 10 years now relocating from East London, know to the locals as - D.F.L's - down from London. We chose Tankerton a short walk from Whitstable centre, as its such a beautiful location for sea views, we live just one street back from the seafront on a wide road, you can see the sea when you come out of the house. The slops, 'Tankerton Slopes', is a wide open expanse of green which leads down to the seafront. Tankerton has a light airy feel in contrast to Whitstable. Which is a very lovely seaside town full of hustle and bustle. I love to leave the crowds behind on a summers day and return to the tranquility of Tankerton. It had to be for something special to get me to move from London and we definitely found it.
