Large six-bedroom house with a walled garden and private hot tub. Perfect for family getaways and group bookings of up to 14 people.

Overview

The Old Chequers is a substantial six-bedroom house with a fully-equipped kitchen, spacious family room, and a sunroom conservatory which provides access out to the private, flint stone walled garden.

There are six bedrooms, each with their own en suite bathroom and king-sized beds with exceptional quality mattresses and bedding.

There is plenty of food storage space, and we have added two fridge freezers in the utility room, which also holds the washing machine, tumble dryer, and an additional dishwasher.
Both the garden deck and the courtyard have been fitted with outdoor furniture for guests to enjoy alfresco dining. The courtyard features a firepit and there is a BBQ weber on the property for guests to use.

Our home is perfect for group stays, family vacations and celebrations, offering group holiday accommodation for up to 14 guests.

The village of South Creake, where The Old Chequers is located, is quaint and family-friendly. We often take our own kids to enjoy the children's play area and pretty village green. The River Burn runs through the village and through The Old Chequers garden. We recommend a visit to the local gastropub, The Ostrich Inn. From South Creake, you can access the beautiful North Norfolk Coast within 10 minutes' drive.

My husband and I have explored various corners of the globe together, venturing through South Africa, America, Asia, Australasia, Africa, and Europe. Our journey began a decade ago in London, and since then, we've been racking up air miles ever since. I, and English native raised in Spain, and Ben, a South African, now reside in Hertfordshire, my hometown. Our family has grown to five with the little additions of Henry, Jude, and Finn. Our passion for travel has been enhanced by Rental Systems, enabling us to connect with locals and immerse ourselves in the unique charm of different places. As our family expanded, we decided to our home away from home, easing the challenges of travel with little ones. We discovered North Norfolk, captivated by its allure and recommendations from loved ones. A year later, we are proud owners of The Old Chequers, hoping our guests find as much joy in it as we do. The house's character, location, and the garden instantly won us over. Guests love the hot tub, garden, and games room. A deck offers al fresco dining, while the courtyard is perfect for entertaining. Come winter, the property ensures warmth with well-heated spaces and cozy log burners in the living and dining rooms.
