Newly refurbished, Coquetdale Cottage is ideal for couples (and its pet friendly!). Located in the centre of the popular Village of Rothbury along a short pedestrian walkway.

Overview

Along a short pedestrian walkway the Cottage is tucked in a quiet spot behind the main street of the Village. A brilliant location to enjoy the pubs, cafes and shops of the Village and an excellent base from which to discover Northumberland.

The Cottage is fabulously equipped, has one king size bedroom upstairs with a beautiful stand alone roll top bath and loads of natural light. There is also a full en suite with WC and separate shower cubicle. Downstairs you have the wonderfully stylish living space with modern Kitchen area, a log burner and sofa bed. One well behaved dog is welcome to stay at the Cottage.

There is free on street parking for the Cottage on Rothbury High Street and the Cottage is accessed via an electronic door lock.

Known locally as the Capital of Coquetdale, the traditional Northumbrian Village of Rothbury is built on a hilllside in the sandstone Simonside Hills. It offers an excellent range of shops, with many art galleries, tea rooms, cafes and pubs. It makes a very convenient base for fishing and for walking into the Northumberland National Park and Simonside, as well as offering less strenuous riverside walks. Rothbury lies near the centre of rural Northumberland, 12 miles from Alnwick, 15 miles from Morpeth, 16 miles from unspoilt beaches and 29 miles from Newcastle upon Tyne. As such it has been a local centre since the 13th century and at various times had a castle, a market and magistrate's court. Nearby Cragside House and Gardens, home to Lord Armstrong is perhaps the most famous attraction in the area.

Extremely well appointed, flagstones floors a real bonus, as we had a miniature schnauzer with us, and the weather was not good!! Location v central for visiting coastal areas weather permitting.
We also overlapped with my sister who stayed at Hectors House a delightful property again in Rothbury.
If space allowed ( not sure where ) a microwave would be an advantage.
Would recommend without hesitation
