From £1,256 per week
Beautiful historic cottage centrally located between Edinburgh and St Andrews. A great place to get away from all the hustle and bustle as well as a base to explore the outdoors.
Overview
The School house cottages are situated on the grounds of an old school house and are centrally located in the Kingdom of Fife, a short drive from Edinburgh or St Andrews. Located rurally, the Schoolhouse cottages offers the ideal getaway to the county without being far from major tourist attractions and amenities.
You will have the entire cottage and private garden available for your use exclusively, although the property does share its driveaway with my house. It is very peaceful and quiet. The cottage is fully equipped with a kitchen and linens as well as an outside BBQ. We also have some bikes that you could borrow if you wish! The cottage has convection heating but if you wish for a bit atmosphere, it includes a log burning fireplace. We include enough logs to get you started. If you wish, we have extra bags of logs to purchase during your stay.
The local area is home to the Kingdom of Fife cycle route and is very scenic. There are many daytrips that you can take from our location and see most of Scotland. We are always happy to help you, so if you need help booking tourist attractions or want any suggestions, please do ask! There are several great restaurants locally, including the famous Michelin starred Peat Inn amongst others. You won't be disappointed! We look forward to welcoming you!

I have lived in the village all my life and I just love it here. It’s so centrally located and well connected that you can reach anywhere in Scotland easily and quickly. I love to travel and I’m a geography enthusiast, so ask me anything about Scotland, I’ll likely know or be able to find out for you!
