Villa Leylek is a beauitiful stone villa, ten minutes walk from the centre of Dalyan and within easy access of the picturesque Dalyan

Overview

This area is one of the most beautiful in Turkey, The coastline and scenery are magnificent and centre locally on Istuzu (turtle beach) which offers 5km of white sand backed by the reed beds and lagoons of the Dalyan Delta.
The area teems with wildlife from turtles to storks, egrets and eagles. The river leads back to the large freshwater Koycegiz Lake The area is surrounded by mountains and forests and is a designated conservation area and so there are no high rise or beach front developments. The small town of Dalyan lies between the lake and the delta.
The town centres on a square and cafes where you can watch the world go by and drink Turkish tea (cay). There are many excellent restaurants, some with river views towards the famous Lycian Tombs carved in the nearby cliffs. The local people are proud of the town and its surroundings and extend a welcome that is warm and charming. Dalyan offers more than just a beach holiday for those seeking an activity holiday this is a perfect location with local access to activities from horse riding to white water rafting and of course there are Dalyan’s famous mud baths to indulge in.

A car is not essential but can be rented locally. There are four bicycles available for use by visitors.

We know Dalyan and the locality well having visited for over six years. My background is in teaching and my wife has retired from a career in the hotel and catering industry. We bought Villa Leylek four years ago. We were totally impressed by the area and the people and really fell in love with the Villa when we saw it for sale. We particularly liked the style and the Mugla stone used in its construction. For us its a home from home and we hope that guests have a similar feeling. We know that anyone who stays in the Dalyan area soon relaxes into the slow pace of life and promises to return. Its such an antidote to the bustle and work in the UK. We would like to share our affection for the area and hope that in renting the villa guests will have a similar experience,
