The Gardenia Villa is one of 5 villas in Lotus Samui. Our resort is beachfront and the Gardenia Villa is just 2 minutes walk away to our secluded and sandy beach. The resort is located at Bang Por, on the northwest corner of Koh Samui between Nathon and Maenam. It is a quieter area of Koh Samui while still close to luxury amenities. Bang Por beach offers the perfect setting for those seeking a more sedate holiday away from the hustle and bustle but at the same time retaining its tropical magic.
Restaurants and Bars within the Locality
There are a few local Thai restaurants within walking distance from the villa. Fishermens Village, popular with many for its variety of good restaurants, is less than 10 minutes drive away, or if you prefer the more touristy area of Chaweng, that is only about 30 minutes drive away.
Is a car essential?
Car rental is recommended to get the most out of Samui Island. Driving is relatively easy as it is just one ring road around the island.
Car rental can be arranged once in Koh Samui and rates are from US$50 per day for an automatic 4-door that sits 5 persons, self drive. A 7-seater like a Toyota Fortrunner will cost approx US$75 per day, self drive.

We have just returned from a week of absolute bliss at the Lotus Terraces. We stayed in the two-bedroom Gardenia villa, a spacious, smartly designed house with its own little pool, great kitchen, comfy big beds and three bathrooms. The location is stunning, right on a secluded beach with very little around, which is precisely what we were looking for on our honeymoon. We spent lazy days by the pool and the beach bar next door does great g and ts and also good food. Theres another restaurant 10 mins up the beach, but Maenam and the fishermans village are only a short taxi ride away where there are countless great spots to eat. Manager Sue was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble for her, she and Noi the maid made us feel very welcome. We hired a car on a couple of days to tour the island and after a week felt we had really got to know the place. We will have memories of this place forever, thanks for making it so great.
