Casa Del Mar

This was our 3rd visit to the wonderful Casa Del Mar and if Covid hadn't struck it would of been more. We spent 10 nights in September and managed, with great effort, to drag ourselves from there for 3 meals out, to Fatimas restaurant which was excellent. The villa has everything you need for fabulous evenings eating in with views to die for , followed by a glass of vino in the Jacuzzi. Oh and we haven't mentioned the infinity pool, again with spectacular views. Once again thank you Chantal & David and we hope our next stay will not be to far in the future.

An absolutely stunning villa in an unbeatable location. We spent a week at Chantal & David’s villa in July and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The villa has a very luxurious feel and every detail has been considered, from the infinity pool with unsurpassable views to the relaxing chill out area and media room. The added bonus is that Fatima’s restaurant (one of the best Moroccan restaurants you will eat at) is just a few minutes walk down the hill. If you want to truly relax and enjoy the serenity of the Sierra Cabrera, this is the place to stay. We have already booked to come back next year!

Dear Chantal and David, Thank you so much for turning freedom into reality!! Paula, myself and the boys have had the most fabulous relaxing time at your gorgeous home and would have stayed longer, if you had not let it!! Your home has everything that we could have wished for, to make our stay as enjoyable as it has been. The view, the pool and the small lounge area outside took up most of our stay to appreciate the tranquility of Cabrera. The TV room was superb for the Lions test and will be home to enjoy the final test. The PS3 was great for the boys together with the table tennis. We all thoroughly enjoyed playing. Kitchen, coffee machine and BBQ were amazing and put to good use. Jane is a fabulous hostess and social distancing went out the window when doing the kitchen table. She was incredibly helpful and very proactive sorting out any issues we may have had, including help in my emergency of having to visit the hospital. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home and we look forward to returning again soon.

The villa is marketed as having the ‘wow factor’, we can honestly say it doesn’t disappoint. We were transported into a sea of tranquility as soon as we walked into the villa. Days started with breakfast over looking the mountains, casual mornings and afternoons enjoying the infinity pool. Watching the sun go down over the Sierra Nevada with a G&T, or glass of wine with some tunes or a book. Exquisite food close by at Fatimas or down the road in Mojacar. The villa is beautiful and felt like a home from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, and a week later we’re going through a daily review of ‘what were we doing last week’ trying to recapture the mood. Anybody looking to escape the rat race and just chill out, then this is the place for you.
