La Marina, Alicante, is a small beach resort on Spain’s famous Costa Blanca. Set in rolling dunes and with some of the widest beaches in region, stretching for over 17km. Like many beach resorts in the area, the beach resort of La Marina is a small village with sporting facilities, a few cafes and a range of shops and bars, with the larger, older town set a mile back from the coast. However, whether you decide to take a villa in La Marina village or town, you still have excellent access to the fine beaches and unique scenery. Things to do on holiday in La Marina, Alicante, Spain: The 17km stretch of fine, golden, blue flag accredited sand which stretches out in front of La Marina holiday rentals will certainly consume a fair proportion of your time whilst on a La Marina, Alicante holiday. As well as the usual beach time activities, scuba diving courses and sailing are hugely popular, and the unique landscape of pine woods and large rolling dunes are perfect for walking and cycling.

Villa is north facing so sunshine limited when we stayed.
Everything that is needed is in the property but VERY shabby/dirty.
Outside furniture was rusty and cushions very tatty.
Bathrooms grotty, cracked tiles and a mixture of discoloured towels and linen.
We had problems with the main bathroom as toilet didn’t flush. Owner was quick to respond but took four attempts to fix as the inside workings had perished. Water was running through the system constantly and a neighbour complained as it kept him awake.
However, the final straw was when we took a blanket from the wardrobe and it was covered in faeces!! It was taken away and washed but very unpleasant. We suspect it had been used for a dog.
The whole place needs deep cleaning, bedding completely replaced, bathrooms re furnished and decorated.
We have used click stay often and have never been disappointed but this was awful.

Really nice villa with all the creature comforts and amenities you’ll need. At the moment of leaving this review, the only downside is that the location is about 3/4 of a mile east of where it is pinned on the map.

This is a good value villa, perfect for a relaxing holiday by the pool with plenty to do further afield as well. Not super smart, the villa is homely and does have some of the owner's own things in and around so it wasn't like other villas we've stayed in before, but it had everything we needed and we quickly got used to that. The fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher was great, 2 bathrooms with no shortage of hot water, and air con in the lounge and ceiling fans in all the bedrooms to keep us cool. The roof terrace is the real gem with plenty of outdoor furniture, shade over the table and wonderful views. The lovely pool with great views and plenty of sun loungers on an attractive grassed area is 30 seconds walk away. There is a good section for babies and toddlers and a lifeguard most of the time. Supermarkets are 10 mins drive. A car is necessary to get around. We enjoyed trips to beaches, markets, Pola park, Alicante, snorkeling etc. Communication with Sandra was excellent throughout and she was very accommodating and extremely quick to answer any questions before and during our stay. There is an identical villa next door so it would be great for a larger party to take the two together. We would happily return if we were to revisit the area.

Communication with owner was great, very helpful. Airport transfer provided was efficient and good value. The house is located across from a good sized, quiet pool but on a very steep hill. The house was comfortable with almost everything that you could need.....except some instructions on how to use the cooker hob! Two hot water systems, which caused some confusion! The living room is overcrowded with tired looking furniture, the TV had a good selection of English channels. Unfortunately, the roof terrace hadn't been cleaned for some time and was covered in bird droppings and general dirt. There is a gas bbq which we didn't use as it was disgustingly filthy and looked as though it had been on fire. It is a good walk to Consum square and we got lost several times. Overall it suited our purpose of a property search in the area but I wouldn't want to use it for a holiday. You definitely need a car.

This villa was very well situated for a family. The pool is visible from the sun terrace of the villa, with a lifeguard on duty too most of the time. There are restaurants, shops, pubs and supermarkets all within walking distance, although having a car helps. The air conditioning in the living room works really well when outside is really hot. We had a lovely holiday and felt the villa was really well positioned and also not far from the airport- even though we got lost trying to find it initially!

We were picked up at the airport by a very helpful lady called Lynne who acted as a tour guide on our journey telling us all about the area. She drove us through the town centre showing us the shops and bars etc.We were met at the property by a lovely lady called Dawn who showed us round the property. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we could have possibly needed - the kitchen had plenty of plates, cups , pans etc plus BBQ utensils, which got a lot of use with the BBQ on the roof terrace. There were even some store cupboard items such as herbs and salt, pepper, tea etc. It is perfectly positioned for the swimming pool which is diagonally across from the house and secured with an electronic fob. Shops and bars are a short walk away ( the lady who picked us up from the airport showed us a short cut! ) up a steep hill initially but it then flattens off. Highly recommend the Chinese restaurant in Consum Square which does the buffet ( think it was called Victoria but leaflet in folder in house ) all you can eat for €9.95! Bargain and very tasty too!
We stayed as a family group and had a fantastic time. Full range of English tv channels and wifi kept the teenager happy!
Great value for money, a home from home. Would recommend to anyone looking for a homely place to stay. So much nicer than a sterile hotel room with no character. Owner very helpful too! Would definitely stay here again if we were to return to the area.
