Spent 3wks (16/9-7/10) in this beautiful location enjoying stunning views, sun and warmth, and relaxing around the pool reading and swimming. Facilities inside include a new washing machine that washes excellently, brand new dishwasher (we didn't use it); juicer, microwave oven, and large comfortable bed albeit a bit low!
Empty gas bottles were replaced immediately, as were replacement cooker hood light bulbs that made a big difference to the cooking area when dusk fell. Unfortunately, there were only two insect screens (bedroom one is torn) - we moved the kitchen one to the bathroom where we felt it was more useful, but recommend new ones be fitted to ALL windows as there were many wasps around at the time. My husband says the boiler needs a small adjustment to minimise the amount of water wasted until it runs hot (similar reviews on other websites). We shopped once in Lidl near Málaga but I found the roads too scary so got top-ups from nearby Comares, equally as scary but well worth visiting, esp Restaurante Verde Oliva where we had an excellent lunch and dinner in its beautiful courtyard. Thanks to owner Fransciso, and Paco, who kept the pool beautifully clean, also to Maite for bringing replacements. Very special thanks to Susana, our contact person, who did some personal shopping for which I'm eternally grateful.

Hello! I am Fransisco and I live in Malaga. Casa Avila is the place were I used to spend lovely weekends with my children and friends. Now that my children are adults and live their own lives, I decided to rent the house for holidays. I hope that my guests enjoy it as much as we always did. It is a marvellous spot. If you like nature and having privacy, you are on the right spot in Casa Avila. And if you want some more action, there are 2 bars/restaurants at 3 km and a lovely village with more restaurants and bars and shops at 5 km. I am looking forward meeting you!
