Overview

The apartment is in a luxury development in La Cala de Mijas. The area is popular all year round as it is walking distance to restaurants, shops and bars. The village of La Cala de Mijas is a short stroll away and the beach is within easy walking distance. The apartment has two bedrooms , a master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and a twin room with a separate bathroom. The lounge area offers comfortable seating and has a plasma tv for your enjoyment. The apartment enjoys free Wi-Fi to keep you connected during your stay. There is a dining area just off the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped for your stay , with fridge freezer, washing machine, oven and hob. There is a coffee machine and a toaster for a quick breakfast which you can enjoy on the terrace. The terrace has a view of La Cala de Mijas and the sea. You can enjoy a drink or a meal alfresco as there is terrace furniture provided.

The area of La Cala is very popular all year round as it still maintains a village atmosphere. You can join the locals for some fresh fish and a glass of wine and shops in the local bakery and food shops. You are spoiled for choice when you want to dine out. Spanish restaurant Las Llaves is perfect for a special meal or you can enjoy a 3 course meal at Venta Sorroche for less than €12. There are also lots of choice for chinese , pizza and snack bars. Snack attack is a popular cafe bar offering full internet facilities. There are several supermarkets close by and its only a 10 minute walk to the local market which is on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

There is a travel agency nearby La cala blue where you can book trips to Granada , Tangiers and Gibraltar or get tickets for the aquapark. There is a bus stop only 5 minutes from the complex and the buses run every 30 minutes to Fuengirola and Marbella.

Overall the place was ideal for our holiday though there was a couple of faults which I considered worth while photographing and passing on to the local agent.
Main Bedroom & On Suite bathroom.
1. The shower although working was not very secure.
2. The mattress was 9stained(blood) and the topper was stained. Unknown.
Second Bathroom
1.Door lock was broken and you couldn't lock it.
In general the standard of cleaning was very poor as the floors were very dirty. Considering that the previous people left that morning and we moved in a couple of hours later, 1530 approx, I wouldn't consider that the floors would become that dusty in that time.
The agent stated she wasn't aware of the problem areas so I feel there's a breakdown in the system somewhere.
In essence it did not spoil our holiday and I would not hesitate to recommend it. The faults were minor but worth a mention to allow for something to be done.

Lovely apartment with everything you needed with a large patio outside. The only drawback was the pool no children's end or sunbeds around to lay on. Shops and restaurants within a ten minute walk as was the beach,bars. Large supermarket across the road for everything you need.
