Welcome to Casa del Castillo, a breathtaking holiday retreat with unparalleled views. Lovingly restored over the course of a year, this ancient family home beautifully blends its original charm with modern elegance. Nestled in the heart of Comares, a picturesque whitewashed village crowned as a ‘Pueblo Mágico de España,’ Casa del Castillo promises a truly unforgettable experience.
Upon entering, you're welcomed by a spacious living room, adorned with cozy nooks and a warm fireplace. The modern, fully equipped kitchen comes complete with a dishwasher, washing machine, induction cooker, oven, microwave, and fridge/freezer. Large windows flood the space with natural light and offer direct access to the stunning pool area, where you'll find yourself gazing out at the magnificent views stretching all the way to the Mediterranean Sea.
Upstairs, a relaxing chill-out lounge awaits, along with three beautifully appointed bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom. All bedrooms open onto a balcony. A second bathroom is also available on this floor, providing comfort and convenience.
The outdoor area is nothing short of spectacular. A sprawling terrace, partially covered, features luxurious lounge sets and a summer kitchen, complete with a wood-fire barbecue, dining table, sink, and bar. The crown jewel of the exterior is the elegant swimming pool, where a glass wall allows you to savor the breathtaking surroundings in ultimate tranquility.
Perched 700 meters above sea level, Casa del Castillo is located in Comares, a quintessential Andalusian village. Its narrow streets wind through enchanting corners, offering sweeping views at every turn. The area is surrounded by pristine countryside, with trails perfect for hiking, cycling, or simply soaking in the beauty of nature. Whether you seek adventure or relaxation, this hidden gem provides the perfect backdrop.
Within walking distance from the house, you’ll find a supermarket, pharmacy, and several charming bars and restaurants. Free parking is available just a short two-minute walk away.
For a change of scenery, the famous beach of Torre del Mar is just a 30-minute drive away. Stroll along the scenic promenade, savor fresh seafood at a chiringuito, or treat yourself to a delicious ice cream. Nearby, Velez Málaga offers a large commercial center and various supermarkets for all your shopping needs.

Lovely Family holiday with grandchildren in a beautiful setting with everything they wanted and secure for children in a very friendly location. Lovely house and outside facilities with a beautiful pool and great barbecue.

Beautifully renovated property in the stunning village of Comares in the Andalusia mountains. The property was well equipped and very comfortable. Contact with the owner both prior to the stay & during was excellent, with any issues sorted immediately (we had a power cut but an electrician was sent & it was sorted without it impacting us). The pool is lovely for a refreshing dip.
If you want a hideaway away from the hustle and bustle of the city or large touristy areas then this is the place. Vehicles are unable to travel through the village as the roads are too narrow but there are parking areas within walking distance, ideal if you hire a car for exploring the whole surrounding area.
We wanted somewhere quiet & peaceful and we got it. The village has several cafe bars/restaurants, a pharmacy, a supermarket and a tobacconist/newsagents.
Journey time from Malaga Airport took approximately 1.5hrs, along very steep and windy mountain roads. Definitely worth it for the views!

We had a fantastic stay in José Antonios house. The view is spectacular, the location is the best in the village (close to everything, and still very quiet) and the house is spacious and bright. We enjoyed sitting on the patio by the pool (although January is a very cold month in Comares). All important amenities in the house where in ship shape, the kitchen were great and there are lots of space for social gathering. Most important, the wifi was working perfectly and we could work from the house without problem. The village is very quiet and genuine, the restaurant in the hotel is excellent and we had our coffee and drinks in the local bar everyday. Great hikes around the village and good parking just below the village. We’d love to come back to stay here in the future!
