Family villa with stunning panoramic views. Featuring 3 large double bedrooms all with en-suite bath/shower rooms, large lounge and fully equipped kitchen. 8 x 4 m private pool

Overview

A beautiful villa, the perfect 'Home from Home in the Sun!'.

Designed with space in mind, 3 large double bedrooms each having either en-suite bath or shower rooms, a large lounge with panoramic views. A well appointed large kitchen with views overlooking the valley and private swimming pool.

The dining area provides a comfortable dining environment for 6-8 people with direct access to the main veranda and private 8 x 4 m swimming pool.

With sun and fun in mind, the villa roof overhangs the veranda to provide over 40 sq. metres of shade from the midday sun. From the veranda you have full views of the valley whilst still being close enough to the pool terrace so that wherever you are, you're together. The gas (hot plate style) BBQ is located on the pool terrace next to the veranda making it the centre of attention for those lunch or evening meal times. All this set within over 7,500 M2 of its own private olive grove.

A beautiful peaceful tranquil setting. Located in the Alcaucin valley below the beautiful white washed village of Alcaucin we benefit from stunning views of Mount Maroma, The Zaffaraya Pass and down the valley toward Lake Vinuela.

We love this part of Axarquia and the location of the villa provides the superb views up and down the valley from the Zafarraya pass to the north and beyond vinuela lake across white villages to the south. Proximity to the charming town of Alcaucin was a bonus and restaurants within walking distance. Alex was so friendly and accommodating and agents were on hand close by locally. Pool table an added bonus when we had family from New Zealand to stay with us for a week! Since we were staying during the DANA and some unusually rainy days the tumblr dryer was an unexpected luxury.

This was our second visit to La Roca and were joined by two of our family. The location is stunning and we spent hours looking at the view and the Zafarraya pass - a wonderful way to relax. The pool was much used by both the younger and older in our group. Our granddaughter now proficient on the pool table too. Enjoyed meals in the village and up the road st Venta La Parra - very friendly. Often took the car up the hill and walked home down the hill retrieving the car in the morning.
The surrounding land will need some tidying but it was a wonderful three weeks and we may well return. Thank you Alex.

Thanks for your feedback about the surrounding land which we hope we can now get sorted with COVID hopefully not a disruption. Please stay in touch should you wish to visit again. Bets wishes Alex

We had a lovely relaxing stay at la Roca.
The villa is very well equipped, has superb views and set in tranquil surroundings.
A car is essential for getting around and be prepared to drive to restaurants etc.
Overall excellent.

Had a great holiday at La Roca villa is exceptionally well equipped with a brilliant standard of hygiene and cleanliness, access is brilliant as is security.
Villa owner Alex was awesome patient, polite, and helpful, could not wish for anymore from her .
The villa boasts amazing vistas lovely shaded area for when the 90 degree temperatures became too much along with a good sized pool, would highly recommend for a peaceful or family holiday away from the hustle and bustle of every day life .

Fantastic week. James and Alex have thought of everything. The swimming pool, BBQ, large verandah, pool table and amazing views mean no need to go out for the day every day. Kitchen fully equipped, coffee machines in every room. Whole place immaculate. We visited the Alhambra - unforgettable - as well as Malaga & Nerja. Would definitely go back. Only small point is that we found the master bedroom mattress a little soft. Thoroughly recommended. One of the best holidays we've had. Loads of great memories.

I will look at the master bedroom mattress to see if there is anything that can be changed to make it more comfortable.

It is a wonderful area and so pleased you were able to get out an explore as well as enjoy the villa :)

Thanks

We had a great holiday at La Roca, the villa was perfect, views were amazing.
Everything was exactly as described if not better, we will definitely consider going back.

You will need a car but driving there wasn’t a problem, the direction provided were perfect but you can also use google maps directly to the villa.

We did some activities in Torre Del Mar, the floating fun Park was great as well as the electric scooters along the beach front.

It was about an hour drive to Nerja or Fuengirola where you can find boats or watersports.

Hi, We purchased the land for La Roca in 2000 and went on to design and have the villa built. It is important or us that La Roca is a 'Home from Home in the Sun!' and we want you to feel at home during your stay. One of the crucial design features of La Roca is the wrap around veranda that provides shade all day, every day so you can escape the sun. The pool is located within the terrace to gain maximum benefit of the warmth of the sun from mid morning til sunset. The kitchen is located to overlook the swimming pool and is fully equipped to enable you to cook anything from a light snack to a full banquet (if you really wanted to!) All 3 bedrooms are generously proportioned and benefit from en-suites, either bath or shower. The Bathroom has the added benefit of being a 'Jack and Jill' meaning that it acts not only as an en-suite, but also a general use bathroom, but don't panic, the doors to the hall and the bedroom can be locked to ensure privacy. One of the little noticed benefits of Alcaucin is the main road to the village. It is a wide carriageway without tight bends to navigate and plenty of room for cars to travel in both directions. And the drive from the main road all the way to our car port is fully concreted so there are no dirt tracks to navigate, unlike so many places. In the village itself you will find a couple of restaurants, banks, mini market and bakers. We are lucky to have the local venta (La Parra Bar & Restaurant) just 400 metres from our driveway. We are located away from any main road and within our own private olive grove of some 7,500 square metres and are not overlooked by anybody, giving us complete privacy, peace and quiet but still within striking distance of 'civilisation'. If you have any questions about La Roca, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Warm wishes, Alex
