Overview
Our holiday home is located in the beautiful Valley of Agaete. We have a 6 acre fruit farm less than a minute walk away and you are more than welcome to go by and pick your fruit! We grow avocados, lemons, oranges, tangerines, mangos, bananas, grapefruit, papaya, guavas, etc. Check too our coffee plantation!
The house itself has stunning views of the Valley and is located by the mountain footsteps of the Tamadaba National Park. Enjoy a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice from our farm as you gaze at the amazing mountain views or have a cup of coffee in our interior patio.
The home is ideal for hikers, we are the only house next to the Tamadaba Hiking trail (it is literally on our front door). You can hike all the way to Tamadaba where there are great views of Agaete, the sea and even Tenerife. The hiking trail connects with other routes and you can walk to the town of Agaete, Artenara, etc.
This hiking route is used each year on 4 August for the local festivity of La Rama, where people hike to Tamadaba at night, collect branches, come back down and walk all the way to Agaete where they hit the branches against the water at the Las Nieves Beach. This is what our ancestors, the pre-hispanic aboriginals from the Canary Islands, the Guanches, used to do in order to ask for rain from their gods.
The owners are locals but lived in the UK for around 40 years and live in the farm next to the home and are there for anything you may need.
If you would like to go for a swim, driving to Las Nieves beach takes around 10 minutes and you can even hop on a ferry to Tenerife from there (the journey to Tenerife takes an hour 15 minutes).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Camino Tamadaba, The Clickstay advert describes the property very well, and as we have stayed in the Agaete Valley before we know the area well. The property owners are a lovely couple (who own the farm next door) and nothing is too much trouble for them.
I would certainly stay there again and have no hesitation in recommending this holiday rental.
The only thing I would warn about is the parking place, it is on a slope and takes a bit of getting used to if you hire a large car, however, if it is of a concern to you the property owners will let you park in their drive.

La casa es luminosa en un sitio es encantador y los dueños son muy amables y cercanos, atentos a cualquier cosa que necesitáramos, nos enseñaron la finca con explicaciones de los cultivos pudiendo coger lo que quisiéramos, también nos dejaron productos en la nevera, fruta, leche, agua, pan…
Flot beliggenhed ved starten af stierne op til bjergene. Stort rummeligt hus med alle bekvemmeligheder og en dejlig terrasse hvor morgenkaffen kunne nydes med udsigten til bjergene. Fantastisk værtsfamilie der havde sørget for mad i køleskabet da vi kom, og viste rundt på ejendommen hvor vi kunne plukke alle de appelsiner og bananer vi ville.
De persoonlijke ontvangst was goed. We kregen een rondleiding door de boom- en fruitgaard en mochten daar zoveel fruit uit halen als we wilden. In de accommodatie lag vers fruit klaar en de belangrijkste keuken- en kookbenodigdheden. 's nachts is het heerlijk rustig. Vanuit het huis zijn mooie wandelingen in de omgeving te maken. Het filmpje met de route naar het huis dat de eigenaar ons stuurde is heel handig. Alleen de parkeerplaats vraagt wat extra stuurmanskunst maar dat went zo.
Casa Camino Tamabada is located up the Agaete Valley just beyond San Pedro. The hosts own the adjacent farm which grows coffee, bananas and oranges. It is a quiet but accessible rural location. The footpath up to Tamabada goes past the door. Our hosts were very helpful with local information and gave us a guided tour of the farm. We were encouraged to pick oranges to make our own fresh orange juice each morning. The property is very well equipped with everything you could need, with good Wi-Fi and a parking space.

Great Host, very friendly, warm welcome, even some food and fruits was included as a surprise! Private parking included - nice sunroof terrace - right next to the hiking trail entrance. Great equipped kitchen for cooking. Can really recommend it if you are looking for silence away from mass tourism. There are some barking dogs in the area ... but nothing extraordinary given you are in Spain on the countryside. parking might be tricky with a big car as it is steep in the end ... but fine for small rental car
