Born and schooled in Leicestershire, England I travelled overland through southern Europe, Middle East and down through eastern and central Africa to eventually settle in the beautiful and cosmopolitan city of Cape Town. I am now lucky to live just below Table Mountain. Since the 1970s, with family and friends, I have spent many weekends in the West Coast National Park on Langebaan Lagoon, one and half hours from Cape Town, where we have enjoyed the boating, fishing and sailing. The lagoon with its azure blue waters and white sandy beaches is a relatively safe watersport haven. In addition 50,000 migratory birds from northern Europe spend November to March amongst the sandbanks of the National Park. Langebaan town has a peaceful community feel, an equitable dry climate, a Marina and Yacht Club, Golf Course, sports clubs, many excellent restaurants (some situated at the beach), supermarkets, and a medical centre. Return trips to Cape Town can be easily undertaken in one day, tasting tours of good wine estates can be accomplished in half a day, and there is a game park within 15 minutes drive. We act as letting agents for homes situated on the Golf Estate, and Marina (both of which have security controlled entrances), and for homes and apartments close to the main beaches. Our main thrust is towards longer term lets of between 10 and 100 days as we know the area is perfect for guests who wish to spend time in the sun away from the European winter. Rates will reflect the advantages of longer stays. We can arrange airport transfers, local orientation - including advice on temporary membership of sport's clubs, art lessons, sailing courses, tours etc.
