Good villa for 8 near Vilamoura Great location near Vilamoura. Car or taxi is recommended. All the main restaurants are near the marina, so 8-15 Euro each way for an 8 seater taxi (cheaper and more convenient than the bus). It is a nice 40 minute shaded walk down to the Marina if you want to do that as well. We did that occasionally, but taxi'd back each time. We were not sure from the property description, but the wi-fi was included. Sky sports was very useful for the first week of the premiership matches. Golf available nearby, but not used by us. Various waterparks nearby - kept the kids busy for a full day, and had to drag them out after about 7 hours. Alfie, the British owner, was very good for recommendations about car hire etc. We would consider this property again if holidaying in the area. 08/28/2018 at 10:32 PM

5/5 A relaxing family break We've just returned from 2 weeks away in this great property. There was plenty of space for 4 adults and 5 children with a quiet, clean pool and well equipped house. The owner was quick to reply with any queries and gave useful tips about where to eat and other local information. Staying here gave us a balance of having some relaxing lazy days at the property but having the convenience of local beaches and the marina close to hand too. The town of Loule was close by and great to visit for a taste of Portuguese shopping and markets. We've come away with some lovely family memories. Great property, spot on! Myself and my family of 8 stayed in Alfie’s house last week and it was just perfect, the house was spacious even with 9 of us and the neighbourhood was quite and well situated - Villamoura Marina is about a 8/10 min drive away or if you like a walk about 35/40 mins. UBER is active in the area and only cost me around 4/5 euros to get home at night after a few drinks in the marina. Outside seating area and BBQ are great for a family get together and meals in at night with a local Supermarket just minutes away we opted for a drive to Lidl which is about 5/6k from the property. The Urbanización was quiet and we practically had the pool to ourselves or the week. Would definitely stay here again and I think Alfie has the price per week spot on! 5/5 Excellent property/excellent property The owner Alfie soon put to bed any worries we had as his correspondence was excellent and each email was answered quickly.He even give us a courtesy phone call on arriving and departure to make sure everything was ok. The villa itself is stunning.we paid the same price for this 4 bed villa as jet2 were quoting for a hotel room for the same period so even though the price might seem high for the 5 us it was more cost effective and definitely more spacious which is what you need with 3 children causing mayhem. The villa is large,clean and modern and has the most amazing pool which was virtually own as it was only us who used it everyday.The added bonus was alfie has sky sports full package which was well used by us when we were home.i wouldn't hesitate to stay in alfies villa again and it was worth every penny. 5/5 Wonderful villa We have just returned from a nine night stay in Alfie’s villa. Two families plus a grandparent 9 people in total. The villa is so well equipped for large parties, we even found plastic storage containers to pack our picnic for aqua land. It really is home from home. We didn’t hire a car but travelled to the marina/beach etc by taxi although bus stop was just across the road. 5/5 Superb facilities in a quiet convenient area Our family comprising 6 adults and 2 children under 11 had a very enjoyable week at Alfie’s house in Vilamoura. The house is a smart condominio and with many people away it was peaceful and relaxing. The location is in a quiet residential area of the town but it is only 500m from a Spar convenience store and a handy café with a pleasant outdoor seating area. The house was very clean and well maintained and was very well equipped, with wifi and the provision of several games, CDs, books, bats and balls and Sky Sports!! It was also very spacious, even for 8 of us, and we were able to take every meal outside on a comfortable but private patio. Alfie's helpful hints were very useful and we used the taxi service to the marina area of Vilamoura frequently at a cost of €10. Alfie responded to the 2 questions we raised during our stay promptly, efficiently and to our satisfaction. Recommended property with a caring and available owner. 5/5 Excellent Villa Our group very much enjoyed Alfie’s Villla. Everything that was promised was delivered, which is unusual in this day and age. Alfie was a perfect host, anxious to know that everything was as it should be but not in an “in your face” type of way. He provided an excellent welcome brochure, full of recommendations for local restaurants, taxi companies, golf courses, day trips etc etc. The Villa is in a perfect position if golf is your thing with a number of top class courses virtually on your doorstep and many others very close by. Although not essential we would say a car would be useful for exploring Vilamoura and the wider Algarve. In conclusion we would like to thank Alfie for a very enjoyable holiday and would have no hesitation in recommending his Villa for those seeking top class accommodation for their golfing holiday. 06/25/2018 at 7:00 AM

5/5 Very clean exactly what was advertised. Nothing disappointed Alfie was extremely helpful. From booking to after we got home nothing was a bother for him. His helpful hints helped us get to the villa without getting lost (a first). The house is lovely everything you need is provided. 5/5 Wonderful! We were a family of 6 staying at Alfie's house. Two adults and four teenagers. The three older teenagers took over the basement and myself, husband and 13 year old daughter took the first floor accommodation. Loads of space for us to spread out and three showers for us to use - great when we came back from the beach late and then off to dinner all within an hour of arriving back. Everywhere was all very clean and tidy. Pool area was clean and the kids had a great time with the pool as it was available to use until 11pm at night. Kitchen was well equipped which we used for four nights out of the seven. Plenty of sunbeds for our use and our teenage boys enjoyed the Sky Sports as the football season had just started and the wifi was essential for the teenagers! Alfie was very helpful and produced a very comprehensive guide to accessing the property, amenities, restaurant guide and taxi information which proved invaluable. Special thanks to Katrina for sorting out taxis for us at very short notice and speaking impeccable English! Alfie always responded very quickly and was helpful with car hire. We love Portugal as in August the heat is bearable with a wonderful breeze so is just right for us and what more could you ask for with blue skies everyday! This villa is about a 10 minute drive from the marina which was fine for us as we didn't want to have any noise at night. It is about a 45 minute walk which is a little far in the heat but we had a car and also used the taxis which cost 10 euros each way. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. 5/5 Beautiful Villa very well equiped We loved Alfie's villa. The house is pristine and looks much better in real life than in pictures. We had plenty of room for our family of 6 adults and two toddlers. The pool is huge and really quiet and we found getting to the marina very straightforward despite not renting a car. 5/5 Excellent 2 week stay! Alfie's villa was superb! It had everything we needed for a 2 week stay and was extremely clean. The area felt very safe which was reassuring. The children loved the pool also which was quiet on majority of days! It was a little bit further out from Marina than I expected but still only €8 in a taxi. 5/5 Gorgeous, modern, spacious This property was perfect for our stay in Villamoura. Even though it is suitable for a family we loved how spacious it was. It was exceptionally clean and had everything you could possibly need. It is in a lovely quiet area but is also within walking distance of the Marina, where you can get nice food, etc. The property is located ideally for the keen golfer as it is surrounded with a number of golf courses. Alfie is an exceptionally nice man, who answered any queries we had before we travelled with the utmost efficiency. We were made feel like we had home from home. 5/5 Fabulous villa with great outdoor space Great villa, ideally placed at the end of a row of 6 villas. As some previous reviews stated, a car is advised. However there is a bus stop very near to get to marina, beach or Albufeira. We used taxis frequently for 6 people and the cost was between 8 and 10 Euros. There is an excellent path all the way to Marina or beach which takes about 45 minutes. Golf virtually on the doorstep. The decked area at bottom end of pool right outside villa was great and as the pool itself was generally quiet, we had this area all to ourselves . The outdoor area around pool was immaculately kept. Very well equipped kitchen if you like to cook for yourself on occasions. Great shower in the master bedroom. The information that Alfie sent before arrival was very informative and helpful. We went to 3 of the suggested restaurants and the food was excellent, particularly Julius restaurant. The lamb was amazing! Perfect location so close to five great courses. With so little driving time there is always great opportunity to relax and cool off in the pool before heading into town. We had the pool practically to ourselves for the week ...... the place was kitted out even better than described ..... and the useful guide provided by Alfie covered everything we could have wanted to know. Nice and quiet if you have kids to get to sleep and yet just a few minutes taxi or a 35 minute walk from the heart of the Marina restaurants and nightlife ...... Alfies taxi recommendation would lift all 6 of us at 10 minutes notice by text. We weren't there for Golf but that was our loss because they are all around the complex and superb quality golf courses at that. Our biggest fear was that 6 of us would get under each other's feet for the week but the Villa is huge ...... 3 floors ....... it's bright, airy, modern, a real home from home ....... and we will be back !!!! My Response Wow. Thanks Emmett. We really appreciate great reviews such as this. Our house is not that photogenic (or we are not very good at taking photos) and its amazing how often our guests are delighted when they arrive to find the quality, value and space is so much more than they expected. I believe if we could translate the quality of our house onto the website guests would pay a lot more to use it. However we are happy with our rental rates and the amount of guests who come back year after year tells us that we offer a great deal. The best recommendation you can get is from previous guests and we are delighted with our consistent 5 star rating. Alfie

The air conditioning is ice cold if you want it to be and the showers are powerful. As other reviews state, the pool seems under appreciated by other residents and we mostly had it to ourselves. The location is good, close enough to the marina etc but not too close! One thing to note is that the WiFi is on a prepay system per hour so may not be suitable if you do require constant internet access, but the connection is good and the system works well if you just need it an hour or two each day (as we did). The service from Alfie the owner was faultless and we would definitely rent from him again. My Response Thanks for your great review Jonathan. We will have free WiFi organised for all guests from January 2016 and no one will have to pay anything and will have 24 hour WiFi. I don't think the pictures do the villa justice its a lovely place and lots of room for 8 of us. The pool is shared but rarely was there other people in and think most I seen was 10 which included 5 of the kids in our group. Alfie is there to help you with anything and gave us useful info. The villa has full sky package including all films and sport which we found brilliant to occupy the children when the sun was it its hottest so we could keep them in the shade. The marina is about 10mins drive from the villa although if you there is a path where everyone seems to run. We would definitely be back. Had a great time at this house. Just the two of us and it just felt so right. Really well looked after and felt right at home. So handy for marina and beaches. Taxi to marina only 5 euros. Would recomend chinese restaurant next to 19th hole.Frank BlincowInverness

Fantastic. The house was everything and more we had hoped for. Very relaxing with the pool right at the door. We could sunbathe on the loungers while the kids played in the pool. The pool was vitualy our own as the other villas were owned by very nice local people who were working all day. Loved the fact that the golf courses were just around the corner.
