Sinos Villa

We had a great time at this lovely villa. The saltwater pool is fantastic and the landscaping is beautiful; we spent ages outdoors. The fruit trees were an added bonus, as was the generous welcome pack and presence of basics such as toilet rolls and bin bags. These little details make the world of difference. The welcome from Smartavillas was efficient and very friendly and I’d highly recommend Algaserra for airport transfers (it was only €90 return for a large minibus for eight people and their luggage!). The walk to into the old town was nice, taking about 20 minutes, and the choice of restaurants there was very good. It was nice after dinner to walk back but Ubers were easy to come by too. Most evenings my in-laws taxied back with two of our children while we walked back with the other two. There was no need to hire a car unless you want to explore the Algarve more. Walking to the Continente supermarket within the Tavira Plaza shopping centre took less than twenty minutes and we then Uber-ed back with our shopping. The kids loved being able to use Netflix and the WiFi to escape from the midday sun and enjoyed shooting hoops in the basketball net too. The kitchen was really well equipped and the aircon was wonderful for sleeping in the hot week we had. The area was really quiet apart from the Saturday when the nearby camping/caravan site seemed to have some entertainment, but with the windows and shutters closed (which we did to prevent mosquitos coming in) we couldn’t hear it. The bedding and bath towels were lovely and clean; the pool towels looked brand new and were very soft and luxurious. We’d happily stay again if we revisit the Algarve and would highly recommend Sinos Villa.

Really enjoyed the villa. Stand-outs:
- great pool including the water temp.
- very clean
- well-appointed kitchen
- generous welcome pack of wine x 2, bread, cheese, butter
- two lots of UK sockets for recharging, one upstairs and one down
- quiet vicinity (not sure whether the adjoining park would get busy in high summer)?
- easy walk to town

The adjoining park is actually owned by the police and policemen can holiday there in the summer months but they are always quiet . Very reassuring for us on the security aspect.

Pros: Lovely pool, nice space in villa

Cons: Bit far from supermarket and town. We all (from 2 households) had a problem with bites!
Pool cleaned on our last night which meant we could not use it from 5pm

Whilst pleased to note that guests enjoyed their stay a little surprised about the comments. The Villa is a 10 minute walk to cafes, bars , mini market and 20 minute walk to town centre. The distances are in the property details. Our guests staying before and after gave no reports of insect bites but hardly think in a hot climate these would be the responsibility of property owners..
