Villa Da Figueira

Perfect house. We had such an amazing stay at the house. The house is really beautiful, clean and cozy. There is enough space for a big group of people. We can recommend the house to everyone :)

We had a great family get-together at the villa. It was spacious, clean, and we felt at home. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and swimming, exploring the beaches, and nearby towns. It was easy to get to shops and buy the food. We had a couple of BBQs, pizza in Figueira, and ate in Lagos. We enjoyed playing games together in the evenings. We played our own games but there are some available especially for children. Eleanor is a great host, kind and understanding and responds quickly. She makes you feel welcome. Thank you for our time at the villa, Eleanor, and we would visit again. Highly recommend.

The place was perfect for our family of 10. The villa was great and the pool was excellent. It’s a great location for beaches and restaurants, whilst still being peaceful. The recommendations were excellent and Eleanor was super helpful and available whenever we needed her.

As a family of 11 the villa afforded a perfect stay for us. A great house, all the amenities you could wish for and excellent beds and showers too. A perfect location with idyllic beaches and shops and restaurants nearby. You need a car, pay the extra for the pool heating and air conditioning in the summer months and if you don’t like wind, avoid the western Algarve! Would thoroughly recommend.

Thank you Eleanor for a wonderful family holiday at Villa da Figueira. We were greeted with a lovely bunch of flowers and bottle wine for two members of the party who had recently had a birthday. Completely unexpected and a really nice touch. The Villa is very spacious and would suit a large family/group who also value their own time as the Villa can be split into two with separate entrances if required. The Villa had everything we wanted and more for a home away from home. Plenty to see and do within walking distance (a good walk) and surrounding areas are easily accessible by Uber or taxi (we didn't hire a car). Uber is very cheap but sometimes tricky to get. Overall we had a great time and would thoroughly recommend. Eleanor is a great host and nothing was too much trouble.

Die Villa da Figueira hat uns sehr gut gefallen, sowohl die Ausstattung als auch die Lage. Wir hatten alles was wir brauchten und besonders die frisch renovierte Küche war ideal für gemeinsame Kochabende. Der schönste Strand der Algarve ist nur 10 min mit dem Auto entfernt und auch für die Surfer waren die Wege zu den besten Wellen sehr kurz. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen! We liked the Villa da Figueira very much, both the amenities and the location. We had everything we needed and especially the newly renovated kitchen was ideal for cooking evenings together. The most beautiful beach in the Algarve is only 10 min away by car and also for the surfers the paths to the best waves were very short. Would love to come back anytime!

As a family of 9, mix of adults and children (and baby) the space was ideal. Plenty of room inside and out for us all to be together but also to have separate space. The kitchens were extremely well kitted out, pool area amazing and patios and outdoor areas brilliant. Beds all very comfortable with plenty of towels. Lots of recommendations in Eleanor’s guidebook too but she was always on the other side of messages to answer our specific requests. The local village of Figueira was 10 mins walk ( downhill) with a few local bars and restaurants. The closest beaches (5 mins by car max), technically are walkable but not with young children. The Furnas beach road was a bit rough on our hire car (10mph), the Figueria beach road narrow and a 10 minute gravel and uneven path from the carpark to the beach - doable but our children (9 and 6) not fussed. We preferred the 5-10 min drive to Salema with lots of bars and restuarants & beds. We had an amazing holiday.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa da Figueira with some friends. We had the most perfect holiday. The Villa was just as we expected and more. The owner had taken the time to provide lovely welcome packs which was a fantastic surprise to receive upon arrival. The Villa is in great condition and you can tell it is well cared for. The information we received ahead of our stay was very useful. The local restaurants and beaches were perfect… such a lovely place which we’d really love to go back to soon. It was a fantastic and very relaxing holiday that felt like home from home. Beautiful Villa.

What an amazing villa! The location, the surrounding area, the beaches close by! The villa is very spacious and clean, we have everything we need. Enjoyed the pool and the beaches around the area everyday. I can’t recommend this villa enough, would definitely like to book to come back again :)

Amazing few days at this villa - so spacious with a great pool area and such great communication by the host who could not have been more helpful. Beautiful beaches close by and a fabulous pizza restaurant in the village which is a short walk away. Would def recommend

Die Villa war wirklich toll. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit. Die Zimmer sind sehr modern und es gab viel Platz für alle 10 Personen. Es waren sogar Unterhaltungs und Spielmöglichkeiten für Kindern da. Der Blick von der Villa aus war weit und zum Abend hin mit Lichtern der Stadt und dem Sternenhimmel bezaubernd. Mit dem Auto fuhr man ca. 8 min. zu einem der ruhigsten und schönsten Strände die ich in Portugal bisher gesehen habe. The villa was really great. We had a wonderful time. The rooms are very modern and there was plenty of space for all 10 people. There were even entertainment and play options for children. The view from the villa was wide and enchanting in the evening with city lights and the starry sky. It took about 8 minutes by car to get to one of the quietest and most beautiful beaches I've seen in Portugal so far.

Would definitely come back! The place was spotlessly clean and we felt afe during our whole stay. Eleanor is a very corresponding and friendly host. The beds werre comfy and clean, the bathrooms newly done-very modern. The neighborhood is a wuite sweet neighborhood...so if you are looking for a quite place to stay with friends or family. This is your house!

Great place for families - We used the whole house for 3 families with children ranging from babies to teenage and it worked perfectly. There is so much outside space we didn't need to eat inside. The villa is very well equipped and comfortable. Salema is a 5 minute drive and has a lovely, lifeguarded beach with a few beach bars, and beds and umbrellas to rent. The small bar in Figueira serves good food and is reasonably priced. I will definitely book again.

We were so glad to have chosen this house for our stay. We were 11 including kids and we had plenty of confortable area for everyone. The pool with the morning sun is just so great. The host Eleanor is so great with communication and was really accommodating especially with the time we arrived. We REALLY appreciated our stay in this place near the lovely village of Figueira. Notes: the house is up a hill so it is windy all day (and gets calm during the night) so do not forget to bring a warmer shirt in your suitcase in order to appreciate the time outside in the evening. Also praia Figueira near the house with a bit of walking between the parking and the beach is really a MUST !!

We had a great time at this large villa for our family group of 10, plenty of space for all of us and the children especially enjoyed the swimming pool.

The apartment was beautiful and Eleanor was a fantastic host - incredibly clear and understanding. A must stay for the area.

We had a really lovely stay. Very modern, spacious villa perfect for a large family. Host was very helpful with any questions we had during our stay. Nice restaurants and small villages only a short drive away, would definitely recommend

We spent 3 nights in this house but wished we had had more time to enjoy it. The views from the back and front are gorgeous and the pool was perfect. We used Eleanor’s recommendations of local places to eat and absolutely loved the pizza place, ordering from there 2 nights in a row. The house is split into 2 living areas, each with 3 bedrooms. We stayed only on the ground floor but would love to return with another family or 2 and use the entire place. The kitchen was fully equipped, even with plastic cups/plates for outside and by the pool. The beds are super comfortable!

House and gardens are beautiful. The pool is lovely with plenty of loungers. House works very well for two families with two living rooms and kitchens. Very good local restaurants and beautiful beeches with walking distance. Eleanor is a very helpful and friendly host.

Eleanor was a wonderful host and made check-in very easy! The villa is beautiful with lots of room to relax. She has thought of everything. Would highly recommend and would stay here again!

Probably my favorite airbnb ever! The house was perfect for us. Spacious, well equiped, high standard, heated pool, privacy, and divided into two floors so that my parents could have their own space at night. The kids (and my mum) absolutely loved the pool and the poolside area has great views. There are lots of places to sit so always a spot to get out of the wind. The southern and western beaches are all different and all stunning. Ingrina is a quiet cove, Castilijo was huge and beautiful with massive waves. Furnas as caves and the beach changes with the tides. There's loads to explore (even Dinosaur prints in Salema!) and plenty of coastal walks. And there's a wide range of quality restaurants within 10 mins drive. Eleanor is a fantastic host. Very friendly and accommodating. We were all sad to leave!

We had a really nice stay with 8 people in this big villa, which is furnished with love and lots of kitchen stuff. Also Eleanor was a great host. We got a guidebook for activities, food and nice places in this regions and we could ask her anything. All in all a wonderful stay, we would do it again!!

What a lovely surprise this villa was, set in beautiful countryside on top of a hill with amazing 360 degrees views. The sunrise and sunsets were truly stunning. Within easy distance of two fantastic beaches, both walkable but easier by car! The villa itself is very spacious and well appointed, there is plenty of room for a family to be outside near the pool, in the dining areas or inside in the modern well designed living areas. Eleanor is lovely and very attentive, it is clear she wanted us to have the best time we could, and we did!!

Fabulous location with magnificent views all around. Accommodation is very spacious and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen. Lovely walks to the local beaches, with the possibility at low tide to walk to Furnas beach and then on to Figueira beach to make a round trip. Sagres, Cape St Vincent and the beaches on the west coast are a short drive. There are two well stocked supermarkets within 5 minutes drive. Fantastic winter break: definitely a place to return to. Highly recommended.

We loved Eleanor's house! The house itself is spacious and bright. Great views, lots of space outside with a lovely swimming pool. The bedrooms are beautiful decorated and the bedlinnen white and crisp! The kitchen is fully equipped. (krups coffee machine, as well as a regular coffee maker) Everything is as described. Eleanor responded quickly and kindly. We'd love to come back sometime.

We absolutely loved this place. Spacious, peaceful, and perfectly situated to explore the beauty of the area. The view is just incredible. Eleanor was the perfect host too; super responsive, adaptive and considerate around our needs. We hope to come back here regularly!

Great position, lovely for walks and local restaurants. Plenty of room for the eight of us. Well equipped, everything we needed. We had a wonderful holiday. Would advise you definitively need a car. Eleanor was very easy to deal with. Would love to stay again in the future.

Amazing house, it’s huge! We loved the pool and all the nearby beaches. The location is great, being able to walk to a bar and restaurant was a huge plus for us. The two beaches you can walk to are awesome. The beds are really comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed :) A perfect holiday house.

We had a great stay at this villa. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived, the house is even better than in the photos. Very well equipped, quiet location and 5min from the beach. We recommend it!

The house is really perfect. The pool and view is really great. Water in the pool is clean. Check -in is with a lockbox, it''s easier. Wifi is working without problems. The supermarket is a 5 minute ride by car. I don''t think that you will find a better place to stay near :)

Lovely villa, fabulous views, spacious accommodation, great for being with our children and grandchildren. We particularly loved the heated pool and choice of nearby beaches. We will definitely be back!
