The Cottage In Charming Azoia

We had a wonderful holiday in this lovely cottage. It is beautifully appointed with quirky ornaments and paintings everywhere you look. I believe it was the home of one of the members of the family that own the properties Turzain on Owners Direct and has left all the personal touches. This makes it very homely. The kitchen is lovely and well fitted out we cooked some lovely meals there as well as eating out a lot. The previous review is correct that it is up a mountains so it is windy and misty but sitting on the terrace you are below most of the wind but have the full heat of the sun. You will need a light jacket and cardigan especially in the evenings. The garden is lovely with strawberries and limes and lovely flowers. Zain and her daughter Yasmin are always available to help if you have problems. We had a couple of lovely evenings lighting the fire in the sitting room (very romantic) This is a holiday we will remember. Thank you Zain and family

Zain, our host is warm hearted, generous, thoughtful and attentive. We have never been so well looked after. The delightful house has everything you could wish for, and was completely stocked on arrival.Zain dropped off fresh bread and English newspapers one day, yet another surprise gift. Sadly the weather was very strange, a belt of low cloud enveloping the house like a Scotch mist, with corresponding temperatures, hence the loss of one star above. Travel 5 minutes East and you are back in usual sunshine. Tip; bring a sweater and light jacket, the is a wind blowing from the Atlantic. We had some pleasant evenings in front of the log fire.The area is lovely, everything needed close by, and still largely unspoilt. Very many thanks, and congratulations Zain.

La maison est très bien équipée et très agréable. Nous avons été très bien accueilllis par Zain qui donne aussi de bons conseils sur la région et est à l'écoute de ses visiteurs. De bons restaurants à Azoia et un magnifique bar à cocktail à l'entrée du village permettent de passer d'excellentes soirées au retour des balades.

We greatly enjoyed our two-week stay in this beautiful little house in Azoia. The owner Zain could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The house with its cosy and lovingly decorated rooms and sunny terraces is perfectly located to explore the sights around Sintra, Cascais and Lisbon. There are even a few very nice restaurants just around the corner in the village. Watching the sun set from the upstairs terrace with a bottle of chilled Colares wine was a cherished part of our holiday.

la maison est très agréable et très bien équipée, la propriétaire qui habite dans la même rue nous accueille chaleureusement . Mais lorsque nous avons payé le solde de la réservation il serait bien que vous nous donniez l'adresse exacte et entière sans que nous devions vous la réclamer, Azoia ne suffit pas il faut aussi Colarès pour la rentrer dans le GPS sinon on se retrouve perdu dans des chemins de champs .
