Luxury 5 Bedroom Villa Sete, Albufeira, Portugal

Was so looking forward to our stay in a luxury villa but sadly our expectations were not met. The villa needs a total refurbishment.

My friends and I had a fabulous time. The villa is in a perfect location. Shops, restaurants within five minute walk away. The beach 10 minute walk and lovely beach bars. You could walk into the old town in 20 mins or the new town in under 30 minutes. Perfect location.
The airport transfer was on time and very welcoming. Taxis to old and new town 5 euros approx. The villa was overall pretty good, it could do with a a bit of TLC, but maybe as it’s the end of the season and this will be done throughout the winter. I would totally recommend a stay here. The price is reasonable and for a group of party goers it was the perfect location to spend my Birthday.

Went with my 11 of my friends for my hen do. Villa was perfect for us. However wouldnt recommend staying here with a family. The pictures make the outside of the villa look a lot larger than it actually is so would be worried about children around the pool. There is also a villa opposite that had 2 large dogs that barked constantly not that this irritated us but had I been there on a family holiday it would have. Location is perfect. Miguel and Patrick the villa agents couldnt have been more helpful if we needed anything including transfers to and from the villa. Really enjoyed my stay.

We stayed in this villa in November this year and had a lovely time. The villa is lovely and the facilities great, especially the pool table outside, we got a lot of use out of that! Its a 5 bedroom villa and there was only 2 of us so more than enough room but even full there would be plenty of space and all but 1 bedroom has an en suite bathroom. The property manager Jimmy was great, hed left us water, wine and nibbles for when we arrived and was immediately on top of a problem we had with the heated pool and had if fixed as soon as possible. If staying this time of year I would recommend warm stuff for the night time and early mornings as it was pretty chilly but certainly most of the days we were there we were sat out in the sun for most of the day and it was lovely and warm.

The area was very very quiet this time of year which to be honest was fine for us as it was quiet we were after but we would recommend doing a shop at the supermarket for food for breakfast and daytime as there isnt much open this time of year. We got a taxi most evenings into the old town (5euros each way) for dinner. Again it was very quiet but that was fine. The weekend was slightly busier and the Rock Bar in the square had good live music.

Overall we would very much recommend this villa to families, couples and groups of friends and we are definitely likely to stay here again!

I booked Villa Sete for myself and a group of girlfriends. We were shown to a differnt villa with no explanation for the change, and when we queried the change we were told to contact England. The replacement was in a location between the old & new towns, roughly a 15-20 min walk to each. The alternative property was nice but had 3 double en-suite rooms (one with a shower so small it was almost impossible to use), and 3 single beds in a windowless basement with nowhere for clothes, no air conditioning or even a door which made it noisy not exactly the 4 double/twin luxury we were expecting. The kitchen was also a separate, rather than the open plan kitchen/living/dining room advertised in villa sete. Finally the pool was unheated, as it seems the pool heating puts a strain on the elctrics!! Overall a great holiday but no thanks to the villa.

Thank you for providing your comments, the transfer company that we use dropped the clients off at the wrong villa. Unfortunately we were not made aware of the mistake and therefore could not place them in the correct villa. The villa they were placed in is in the same location as Villa Sete, and would be a 10 minute walk to the strip and 15 minutes walk to the Old town. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away. The showers are a standard size 90 x 90

The location of the villa really made the holiday for us. With the nightflife and restaurants on its door step it made life really easy. Also the security on the property was an added bonus, being a group of girls. It was so good even we couldnt get in some nights!
