Overview

This nature and wildlife retreat is situated above a river in an idyllic location on the north slope of the Azzaden Valley near Ouirgane in the High Atlas Mountains, just 62 km from Marrakech.

Kasbah Africa perfectly blends sub-Saharan African lodge style with Berber warmth and charm to create a luxurious Atlas riverside retreat.

Eight spacious guest rooms can each sleep up to 4 people. Built from local stone, all rooms have views of the river and face Takerkhort Wildlife Reserve. A roof terrace above each room offers panoramic views by day and a star-filled sky by night.

All rooms feature a wood burning fire, satellite TV, DVD, hand-made walnut furniture, a tea/coffee station, bath robes, slippers, hair-dryer, binoculars, iPod dock, safe, guidebook of birds, telescope, a/c and heating.

The lodge has a swimming pool, lawn with sun loungers, gardens with fruit and olive trees, a bar/lounge and restaurant with log fires. There is a choice of Moroccan or French cuisine.

For those seeking escape and relaxation Kasbah Africa provides an antidote to the stresses of modern life. The Kasbah offers a wide range of local activities, day trips and tours including guided walks to nearby Berber villages, Atlas treks, Toubkal climbs, nature trails, mule treks, cooking courses, and 4×4 trips to remote mountain villages and beyond.

As well as rental by the room, Kasbah Africa is also available for private rental in its entirety and suits private groups celebrating anniversaries, yoga retreat groups, art classes, cooking classes, families seeking nature in a family-friendly safe environment, and couples seeking romance and nature.
