Dellagenga Torretta 2+3 Pax

We were looking for an isolated, bucolic place to rest but with an easy connection to a city, and that's exactly what we got: you will be surrounded by forests, enjoying the peaceful lake, far from the outside world and then, in 4 km by road or 5 by a walkable old railway, you'll find yourself in Spoleto, a small town with great cultural life, shopping and the kind of beauty Italy offers everywhere. Not to mention that you'll be in the middle of one of the most beautiful regions in Europe. The house is exceedingly charming and well equipped (only the wifi is a bit lacking), and the hosts, Lorenzo and Annalisa, will go the extra mile to grant you a pleasant stay. They offered to give us rides to town until we got a car of our own, gave excellent advice and kept a friendly but non intrusive attitude all the time. Also they encouraged us to collect figs and prunes from the trees around, which was a blessing in breakfast time. All in all, an unforgettable stay.

Our week at Della Genga was wonderfull. Lorenzo was away, but Roberta took great care of us.

We had a lovely few days at the DellaGenga Resort. Lorenzo was very helpful and welcoming. The lake was beautiful with glorious swimming and a fantastic cycle track and tennis court. We fell in love with Luna, the dog, who was delightful. The house was great - well furnished and very clean. We hope to be back soon. Many thanks Lorenzo.

Lorenzos place is lovely and we had a great time in La Torretta and swimming in the lake. We were without a car and knew in advance that this would require some walks up and down the mountain for groceries etc.. This proved to be no problem as the walk is manageable with great views. Lorenzo also offered to give us a lift as well as lending us bikes. All in all Lorenzo was a great host, welcoming, helpful and informative and the place is exquisite!

We spent a wonderful week staying at La Toretta. Only 4K from historic Spoleto, along a bumpy sun-dappled driveway through woods you arrive at Della Genga, and feel deep in the countryside. La Toretta is clean, spacious, the bed is comfortable and bathroom fine. Communication with Lorenzo was good and instructions for arrival clear and precise. Apart from visiting the lovely nearby towns we enjoyed exploring the ex-ferrovia track and the Della Genga estate, especially evening walks listening to birdsong and spotting cinghiale. I found the large white dog slightly intimidating but Jim the hound, and Luna with 5 tiny puppies were delightful. Thank you Lorenzo, and to Niccola for being so helpful. We hope to return to Della Genga soon.

Un luogo da sogno! Tutto quello che vedete nelle foto è decisamente meno bello dello splendore di questo luogo incantato dove Andersen avrebbe scritto ancora una fiaba! L'ospitalità del proprietario Lorenzo è accogliente, discreta e calorosa. La casa è spaziosa, piena di luce e di ogni confort. Se potessi ci andrei a vivere!

Lorenzo is an ideal host. Whatever you need will "appear" in a timely manner. Words and pictures can't really describe living beside Villa Montignaro. The family has been there 2100 years - a Roman general and two Popes in the family. One family worked for Lorenzo's family for several generations over 600 years! Heating and hot water is separate and cost about 300€ per month for us. We stayed three months - the perfect place to write an opera or a novel in the countryside. Everyone (Roberta 1, 2 and Giancarlo) made us feel perfectly at home. We would love to come back.

Bellissimo borgo restaurato con cura e rispetto dei materiali e della storia che conserva. Si respira pienamente l’atmosfera rurale di un tempo con i confort dell’era contemporanea a pochi minuti da Spoleto. Il viale d’ingresso al borgo attraversa il bosco per quasi 2km e vale la pena di spendere un po’ di tempo a visitare i dintorni del borgo dove risiede anche la casa patronale della famiglia Pucci Della Genga. Lorenzo è stato molto cordiale, come il suo collaboratore Nicola.
