Set in the beautiful ancient hamlet of Roccascalegna, Apricot House is nestled under its imposing famous castle. With 2 double & 1 twin bedded rooms, the house can accommodate up to 6/7 persons.

Overview

Boasting a garden and barbecue facilities, Apricot House features accommodation in Roccascalegna with free WiFi and mountain views. The property features garden views and is 12 km from Bomba.

The holiday home has 3 bedrooms, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, an equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a microwave, a washing machine, and 3 bathrooms with a bidet.

Roccascalegna is set between the mountains (and skiing resorts) and the Adriatic sea. There is a local bakery, butcher, mini market, pharmacy, 2 bars and 2 restaurants, a post office and ATM within the village alone.

The region of Abruzzo is noted for its fine wines, salamis, salsiccia and pasta. Arrosticini and Pasta Fagioli are the local delicacies. There are trekking and walking paths everywhere and the beauty of the National parks draws in many Italians and tourists alike. There are numerous festivals to get caught up in where everyone is made to feel part of the family (I know from personal experience!). Everyone who has stayed at Apricot House have commented on the friendly nature of the village where strangers are made to feel like locals. Everything is within easy reach (but a car is essential)

The nearest airport is Pescara Airport, 77 km from the holiday home.

Hi - I'm David, the owner of Apricot House (so named after the apricot tree in the garden). Having worked off and on in Italy for over 25 years I decided to buy a house mid-way between the mountains and the sea - in Roccascalegna, an ancient hamlet with a stunning castle. What drew me to area was its outstanding natural beauty, excellent cuisine and friendly people. Abruzzo is Italy's hidden gem and worth a closer look. Over the years I have grown to love and respect the people of Roccascalegna - they are open and generous hearted! I invite you to experience the same!
