Overview

VILLA DEI GALLI is a private two-storey villa for 7 people. Villa dei Galli is about 90 square meters in size and features a private swimming pool, a large terrace with sea view, a patio with sea view, a private garden, air conditioning, heating and Wi-Fi. From Villa dei Galli you’ll be able to enjoy a spectacular view of the sea, the Gallos islands and the surrounding hills.

Villa dei Galli is strategically located about 300 m from the centre of Sant’Agata Sui Due Golfi, where you’ll find bars, shops and some of the best restaurants in the area (including the Don Alfonso restaurant with 3 Michelin stars). The villa is located on the hill of Santa Maria della Neve, enjoying a beautiful view of the sea, the Gulf of Salerno and the legendary Vetara and Gallos islands.

The bus stop is 300 m from the villa, from where you can take the bus to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi every 15 minutes.

The nearest beach is Marina del Cantone, which is about 7 km from the villa.

The villa can be accessed from the main road via an electric gate. You will not need a car to stay at Villa dei Galli, but if you do come by car, you’ll be able to park in the private car park (for 3 cars).

There are no steps between the car park and the villa.

THE PRIVATE POOL is built into the green lawn, among the trees and plants. From here you have a splendid view of the sea, the Gulf of Salerno, Vetara and the Gallos islands. It measures 3.5 x 6.5 m and is 1.5 m deep. The pool area is furnished with deck chairs, a sun umbrella and there is an outdoor shower. It’s available from April to October.

THE PRIVATE GARDEN surrounding the villa offers maximum privacy. Here you’ll find olive and fig trees, countless tropical plants and a wide variety of flowers.

THE PRIVATE TERRACE has a splendid view of the sea, the Gulf of Salerno, the Gallos islands and Sant’Agata Sui Due Golfi. The paving is Massa stone and is partially covered by a wooden roof. It’s furnished with a handmade wooden table, six chairs and deck chairs, and is ideal for outdoor lunches and dinners. Here you’ll also find the stone barbecue.

GROUND FLOOR

THE LIVING ROOM is large and bright, and has a beautiful view. The room contains a double sofa bed, satellite TV, DVD, Bluetooth speaker and a dining table with six chairs. The room is fitted with Wi-Fi, air conditioning and heating, and has access onto the terrace.

THE KITCHEN is equipped with a five-hob gas stove, a fridge with freezer, a dishwasher, a toaster, a kettle, a washing machine, a microwave oven, a coffee machine, an electric oven, an iron and ironing board. You reach the kitchen from the living room.

THE FIRST BEDROOM contains a double bed and has a window with a sea view. The room is equipped with air conditioning, heating and a TV. You reach the bedroom from the living room.

THE FIRST BATHROOM (adjacent to the first bedroom) contains a sink, bidet, toilet, shower and a hairdryer. You reach the bathroom from the corridor.

FIRST FLOOR (reached from the ground floor up an internal staircase of ten steps)

THE PRIVATE PATIO is about 80 m2 in size and has a beautiful view of the sea. It’s furnished with a table, chairs, deck chairs and an umbrella. You reach the terrace from the second bedroom or the garden.

THE SECOND BEDROOM contains two single beds (these can be made into a double bed on request) and a TV. The room is equipped with air conditioning and heating. You reach the bedroom from the corridor.

THE THIRD BEDROOM contains a small single bed and is fitted with heating. You reach the bedroom from the corridor.

THE SECOND BATHROOM (adjacent to the second and third bedrooms) contains a sink, bidet, toilet, shower and a hairdryer. You reach the bathroom from the corridor.

Important things to know

  • Tourist tax 2,00 Euros per day per person for the first 5 nights from April to October 31. The children under 18 years do not pay.
  • For arrivals after 8:00 PM will be applied an extra cost of 60,00 Euros to be paid at the arrival.
  • Damage deposit: 200,00 Euros. The damage deposit will be returned prior to your departure unless there are accidental damages to the property.
  • Heating not included. If requested will be charged 100 Euros per week to be paid on site.

Look no further! Villa Dei Galli is a quaint home hidden in the hills of the Sorrento Peninsula, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Our family of five stayed for 7 nights, and cant wait to return! The home is very comfortable, sleeps 6, and has an open layout to the backyard. We spent the majority of our stay on the patio outside, drinking wine, soaking in the sun and taking in the view. The backyard is very large and the driveway is a hill, so we used the space in the mornings to workout before we went into town for coffees. The owners of the home were extremely helpful with suggestions for restaurants and things to do, and available if you need anything. The location of the home is KEY, especially if you have a car. Although, the bus stop is only two blocks away. Because the house is on the top of the hill, you are seven minutes from Sorrento down one side of the hill, 5 minutes from Nerano beach on the other side of the hill and 10 minutes to Positano through the coastline. Not to go unmentioned, the town of SAgata is BEAUTIFUL, and we loved that it attracts less tourists than Sorrento. The restaurants in town are awesome, the grocery store is just two blocks away and everything was very convenient. Our family left to another location in Italy for the last leg of our trip, and missed SAgata, and Villa Dei Galli immediately. It really is the perfect place to stay for a family while visiting southern italy.

Ce séjour fut parfait, tout était réuni pour passer de super vacances! La villa est splendide,très propre et, du magnifique jardin, on ne se lasse pas dadmirer le panorama sur la mer !!! la superbe piscine nous a permis de nous amuser en famille et laccueil de Gianni et Lucio était très cordial! ils étaient là en cas de besoin et nous ont très bien conseillés pour nos sorties et pour nos achats de spécialités! Relaxing in comfort Villa dei Galli has everything we needed for a relaxing family stay. All the rooms are comfortable, 2 main bedrooms are spacious. Well equipped modern kitchen. No air con, but one fan was provided. The kids adored the pool. Its not very big and not too deep so just perfect for a family. The terrace has wonderful views and just invites you to relax. We have been to Sorrento before and knew that SantAgata is a fair distance from Sorrento. It can cost up to 50 Euros by taxi, which seems a lot for a 15 minute drive. The bus service is fine, so you dont really need a car. However, it is several minutes walk from the bus stop to the villa, mostly uphill. Just a gentle stroll most of the time, but quite far enough if you have suitcases or need to carry tired, small children. We went to Sorrento and Pompeii, but were happy to spend a lot of time at the villa. SantAgata has decent food shops, including 2 small supermarkets, and several good restaurants so you can get everything you need locally. We were there a week and had two plumbing problems: the washing machine wasnt working due to a blocked drain, then the dishwasher hose burst resulting in a pretty bad flood all over the living area. On both occasions the owner got the problems sorted out within a few hours of us reporting them but he was pretty grumpy the second time. If it hadnt been for this (which hopefully wont happen to anyone else) I would have given an overall rating of 5/5.
