Casa Miria is a splendid three -story villa on the top of a steep mountain overlooking the sea.
It is 200-square meter big and it sleeps 4 people in each separate, beautifully appointed apartment
Overview
Situated 10 kms away from the cliffs of Amalfi along hairpin bends overlooking spectacular views, Furore is named for the fury of the waves beating against its cliffs. It is another face -secret, unusual, stimulating- of a territory that has always drawn and enchanted visitors from all over the world. This unspoiled village of scattered houses spread along the ridge of the Lattari mountains, right above the Amalfi drive cliffs, is the alternative to the well-known seaside resorts of the Amalfi Coast. It represents a rural escape, unspoilt by mass tourism and offers beautiful walking itineraries, breathtaking views, typical craftsmanship, mild climate, reclusive atmosphere and a superb cuisine excelling in delicious, local specialities.
The terraced vineyards that provide the production of its own wine “Furore doc” drop precipitously to the sea forming an impenetrable, deep rocky gorge, the most impressive natural feature along the Amalfi drive. There are several churches, chapels and ancient ruins, while the painted walls and the strange statues along the road capture everyone’s eyes for their modernity. Every September, well-known Italian and international artists are invited to Furore to depict the history and environment of the area in an ever expanding open air “museum” of modern art.

We were very pleased with the property and had a great holiday but were disappointed that the rental agency hadnt checked the details listed. There was no (and never has been) a kettle or washing machine at the property even though they were listed in the details. Also the agent who took us to the property was unfamiliar with the air-con system and even had trouble opening the front door ! She also pointed out our position on the map which was incorrect!
However the owners were very welcoming and couldnt do enough for us - the shared pool was lovely and we had it to ourselves for most of the week. A lovely part of the world!
