Overview
A semidetached villa, the first one in the row of five in the romantic small gardens of Marshall Retreat, Betalbatim, South Goa, got a Portuguese name Casa Jorge. It is being rented to lovers of vast beaches, good food and cultural experience. Beautifully kept gardens and a swimming pool are a part of the complex. Swimming pool might be closed for cleaning and repair in rainy season.
Casa Jorge consists of living room/dining room, separate fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, two balconies next to the upper floor bedrooms and a terrace attached to the master bedroom with a view into the palm trees. It is fully furnished with tasteful furniture (some individual antique pieces) and artistically decorated with pictures and with a collection of musical instruments. All bedrooms and living room are air conditioned.
Facilities: a cleaning service once a week, preparing meals on request (first class cook trained with us for the last 20 years – Indian and international kitchen), small library with interesting books for every taste in 3 languages (English, German, Czech), television (cable ), internet
Casa Jorge is 10 minutes distance from the beach, a nice walk through a palm grove, passing by two smaller hotels which will serve you meals in case that you would not like to use the services of our cook or make the dishes yourself. However, during the season, there are also many temporary shacks on the beach, which prepare tasteful lobsters, fruit de mer, fresh fish and wonderful cold drinks. On the other side it is 10 minutes walk to the village of Betalbatim with the basic grocery shops, pharmacy, bakery and ATM.

Amit March 2022 We had a wonderful stay. The actual villa is true to its description and located within a beautiful gated community which is maintained really well with a clean swimming pool. The 10 mins walk to the Betalbatim beach is charming. Special mention for a early check-in which is very much appreciated and overall a very comfortable and memorable stay.

The location is close to amenities and a beautiful beach but feels like it’s in the country side. The property is in a secure area but feels friendly and laid back. The house itself is beautifully appointed and really nicely laid out. The support staff on the ground are wonderfully helpful.
If you’re travelling in a group of 6, I definitely recommend this place to everyone planning to have a stay of 3 days or more. South Goa is not that happening as North Goa but still if you want to have a balanced Goa Trip, I recommend you stay here and rent a car to travel up and down. Amazing interiors. The musical instruments in the house were just a cherry on the top. More than satisfied with this place. One of the most memorable trips I’ve had in the near future where everyone wanted to go home because if it’s comfort quotient.
We couldn't recommend our stay highly enough. The house was amazing, both spacious and clean with thoughtful decoration and art. It was a short walk to the beach, along with having a pool, and near some fantastic restaurants. If we ever get the excuse to return to Goa, we are sure to book again!
We stayed in Casa Jorg for one month and really enjoyed our stay there. The house is very spacious and the decor is beautiful. We loved the pool area and mostly had it to ourselves. We also enjoyed the terrace. The glorious beach is only 15 minute walk away, the sea is safe for swimming and the beach shacks serve good food. We also liked the food at Amiguerio, five minutes from the house near Alagoa hotel. The local village is 10 minutes walk away. We think the house is excellent value and we really recommend it.
