Ideales Resort is situated in south Kefalonia (in Trapezaki), only 12 km from Argostoli (the Capital) at the foot of the legendary mount Ainos, known for its famous black fir and wild horses. At a close distance (only a few hundred meters) there are beautiful sandy beaches with turquoise waters.
The villas at Ideales Resort vary in size, but thanks to the very large spaces, they can receive comfortably couples, families or large groups of friends. What makes Ideales Resort stand out is that it offers a home away from home. A warm and comfortable choice on an amazing island of unparalleled beauty.
The deluxe 2 bedroom villa Mataki has wide spaces and a blend of modern refined and functional decoration with warm touches that leave you with a familiar feeling. The design, allowing all the natural light to fill the spacious rooms, utilizes the panoramic views of the sea and Ainos mountain (one of the 10 National Reserves in Greece) fully.
Villa Mataki is a one level villa with a loft. The ground floor of the villa consists of the living room, the kitchen and dining area and one double bedroom with en suite bathroom and built-in wardrobe.
A small staircase leads to the second bedroom on the loft. The bedroom has two single beds and en suite bathroom.
The living room opens out to the pool deck, with stunning sea view and sunbeds in the surrounding area.
The kitchen communicates with the living-sitting area accessing the pergola-shaded patio with an outdoor dining set.

Villa Mataki is part of the Ideales resort, this is a small complex of about 6-8 villas (I think). Within 5 minutes walking distance is a restaurant and probably about a 10 -15 minute walking distance are other restaurants and a small shop. I would say a car is essential in order to be able to get to and from the villa for supermarkets shops and sight seeing.
The villa is exactly as described - one tiny point is that the upstairs bedroom is sort of a mezzanine floor and there is no door at the top of the stair case - therefore if people are in the lounge/kitchen area it can be heard upstairs. This is a small issue and it didn't really effect us.
The pool was cleaned daily, the villa cleaned twice a week with new towels and lined provided.
Communication with Lila was excellent - practically immediate responses to emails.
Would definitely recommend.
