Agape

Beach country house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in Greek Mainland, Greece

From €1,851 per week

'Agape' is a modern greek cottage licensed by the Greek Tourist Organization (GTO) in the Pelion peninsula rising from the Aegean Sea with outstanding natural beauty and many activities to offer.

Overview

A love making story
“Boy meets girl, girl falls for boy…” Mom and dad met in the 70's and Pelion was short of a honey moon destination back then. Crushing on each other might not have been a big deal but they really loved the place. For those of you that don't know, Pelion is a hidden gem –slowly revealing everything it has to offer. Long after their marriage and still in love my parents built their own love nest in Pelion; a holiday residence seen as a short break refuge, a recourse of rejuvenation, a love making house!

The House
On the Western slope of Pelion 'Agape' provides an ideal and welcoming base to explore unspoiled Greek mainland in comfort and style. Local materials have been used to create a country-chic style with a sense of luxury you can afford, and with comfort and functionality. It consists of two double bedrooms and a single one, all with beddings free of charge. There are also two bathrooms with free toiletries –one of them with a shower cabin, and a large relaxation area with two bed sofas which can provide additional sleeping space. This lounge has also a fireplace and a bunch of historical, architectural and literature interest books, along with a mini bar to spend some quality time. Guests share common access to all public spaces in the house including a well equipped kitchen and a relaxation garden along with a large terrace with a dining table.

Kindly note that this is a non smoking property.

Location
Location is special within a calm setting of olive groves and panoramic views of the Pelion Mountains but just 500 meters down to a sandy beach. It is only a minutes' walk to the village's main beachfront boulevard with taverns, coffee shops, amenities stores and a pharmacy in case of emergency, while it is 5' away by car from the local public mooring if you are a boat owner. Easy to spot and accessible by car with plenty of parking space just outside, this property offers transportation convenience both from Volos city and to other destinations such as the Sporadic Islands, Plastira Lake or the world known Meteora Monastery Complex.

Destination
Kala Nera –it actually means 'clear water', is one of the 25 villages dotted throughout Pelion peninsula map. Situated 18klm from the port city of Volos next to the Pagasetic Gulf it has been a popular tourist destination for Greek visitors during the 80's. It is less known outside Greece and well suited for families and groups wanting something more than the classic beach holiday caged in faceless resorts. A shopping or a night walk in the city of Volos is worthwhile and there are regular bus services linking the village to the city. Although some of Greece's most famous beaches lie at the foot of Pelion at approximately 30' drive, it is also possible to do horse riding, mountain biking, sailing etc. This place, full of myths, is best known for the many forested paths enjoyed by hikers who return regularly throughout the year. There are beautiful walking paths close by not to be missed and visits to old churches and the famous Miniature Train!

Highlights
-Well established carriers such as Easyjet fly regularly during the season directly to Volos from across Europe. Check your options and save money and time!
-'Trip planning' tips for guests interested in organised and guided activities are offered for free. Ask for information related to Mountain Biking, Hiking, Horseback riding, Sailing or Diving.
-Not in a going-out mood? Stay in! There are a couple of table games as well as edge-technology devices and WiFi for your home entertainment. Just bring your hard drive with you.
-Feeling bored to prepare your own meal? Many taverns have a take away service. Use it!
-Want to have a sun-bed just in front of the sea water? Make a reservation. In the house you will find a business card for each place you can have a great time!

And there is more!

Teased? Book now! Looking forward to meeting you!

Warm Regards,
Dimitris

The house is comfortable and pleasant with a nice garden and terrace. It has all you need (also if you like to cook). Just a few minutes from the supermarket, tavernas and beach (swimming there is easy and fine). The position is perfect to explore Pilion by car of by foot.

We stayed in Dimitris’ house for one week during July. The description of the house is accurate, it is very comfortable and practical. We specially enjoyed having late afternoon drinks in the quiet garden. Dimitris was very responsive to messages and very accommodating as well. We were explained where to go/what to do/what to eat and the tips proved themselves very useful! We visited a new beach every day, the place has some wonderful hidden gems. I definitely recommend the house and Dimitris as a very hospitable host as well.

This is a very comfortable house with all the mod cons and very close to the beach and the village center. The house is modern and its arranged as if its a small hotel with high standards bedding and toiletries. All the amenities work well and the host is fab! I recommend without hesitation. Dimitris Place is a lovely home near the beach and all the amenities of Kala Nera in Pelio. Real Greek community spirit and very hospitable. The house is traditionally build but it has all the mod con that are needed to make your stay very comfortable. We found the house represented the description and more ! The host and the property management team were very helpful to all the needs that we had.. It is like a home away from home really with all little details that you would need. They have arranged it like an upmarket small hotel with comfortable bedding and toiletries for the guests. They even left us breakfast items to enjoy and cleaning products for the dishwasher and laundry so there is no need to rush to the supermarket upon arrival! The modern amenities in the house meant that we are in Greece enjoying the sun, sea and culture but we can continue to work as if we were in London. Much appreciated! We were four adults and two kids and were very comfortably accommodated. The location is perfect. Five minutes walk to the beach and port where all the restaurants seaside bars and shops are. We also used it as a base to travel around Pelio which is a real delight as it combines the mountain with the sea and the traditional Greek character. Dimitri is a real representatives of how Greek hospitality can be. We will come back for the summer if we find this house available! Many thanks Dimitris, Keep up the great work that you do!

We got a really warm welcome in Dimitris wonderful house. The home is in a very quiet and beautiful location and really near to the sea. This amazing cottage is lovely designed and furnished. Is just as beautiful as it looks on the photos. There is everything you need. Thank you we come back in a few weeks.

After having had a good flight and arriving at Volos airport, it was an one hour drive to Agape, Kala Nera. Immediately a very good welcome with the owner: a short tour through the house and a filled fridge with drinks (wine, beers, softdrinks). We could make use of all food and cooking items. Very nice sleeping rooms (3 in total), a living room, kitchen and 2 nice terraces. The house is only a short walk away from the boulevard with very nice Greek restaurants with mainly Greek people enjoying good food and service for very reasonable prices. Kala Nera is more or less in the middle of Pilion, so with a car (for sure you need one) a good starting point for nice trips in the area and mountains. A very nice and authentic part of Greece for a good relaxing holiday! A must enjoy for many more to come to the house and this region!

With studies in Tourism Management, Event Management and Education in Tourism, a significant international exposure and a cross-culture mentality I work as an International Sales Executive (EMEA) for one of the biggest travel agencies in Athens. I’ve experienced many designations both as a tourist and as a professional and therefore it’s become clear to me that the safest way to gain the advantage of differentiation is giving guests a sense of added value along with personal service. In ‘Agape’ the goal is to offer benefit bundles that comprise accommodation with extra services. Throughout a proper interaction with guests the goal is to build personal relationships and secure overall satisfaction.
