Crete Retreat Jasmine

Aug 2021 Top: great getaway with nice garden and villa. The house has everything you need inside and the airco works well. The hosts are very sweet and make you feel welcome. There are only 3 houses so it feels very private. There’s a good pool and a great gas bbq, games to play and organice grown vegetables/fruit that are offered (pay as you like) by the hosts. The beach is in Chania, 10 min drive) Tip: house could use some maintenance and good to know that cicades are there making sounds all day long. You can filter it out but good to mention. They are actracted by the light so in the evening they will join you when sitting outside;) July2021 We enjoyed an amazing 7 nights at Jasmine Villa, part of the Crete Retreat villa complex. What a fantastic green oasis Ian created in the arid Crete. Amazing big swimming pool and all amenities to have a perfect family vacation. Rob, who's managing the property, goes above and beyond to help you with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended and will come back for sure! Jasmine Villa is Situated in our Large Landscaped Gardens Close to the Pool Reservation ID #HA-CRGB5P It was exactly what we were looking for and more. The garden is amazing, you can buy vegetables from the property, the swimming pool is giant. Ian is making his own gin and it is gorgeous and Ian, Rob and Rachel are very nice and helpful. It is very near from Chania and perfect to discover the area. So you have to go there !! With her open and warm manner, you feel right at home. The grounds are very beautiful and well maintained. The house has everything you needed. The gas grill, the dishwasher, the washing machine and the rain shower add extra comfort to your stay. Every now and then there are fresh vegetables, herbs and eggs from our own garden for a donation. It couldn't be more sustainable! The pool invites you to take a dip and even if there are other guests staying on the premises, you have a lot of privacy. We would like to come again! Aug 2021 Der Aufenthalt bei Crete Retreat mit Ian, Rachel und Rob als Gastgeber war wunderbar. Mit ihrer offenen und herzlichen Art, fühlt man sich direkt zu Hause. Das Gelände ist sehr schön und gut gepflegt. Das Haus hat alles was man brauchte. Der Gasgrill, die Spülmaschine, die Waschmaschine und die Regendusche geben dem Aufenthalt noch ein Plus an Bequemlichkeit. Ab und zu gibt es frisches Gemüse, Kräuter und Eier aus dem eigenen Garten gegen eine Spende. Nachhaltiger geht es nicht ! Der Pool lädt zu einer Erfrischung ein und auch wenn auf dem Gelände noch andere Gäste wohnen, hat man viel Privatsphäre. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

We are a family of 5 with children ranging from 9 to 13 years of age. Ian's place was perfect for us, but could imagine it suiting other visitors, too. We had hesitated about booking initially because we didn't want a shared pool, but this was not in fact an issue at all. The pool is very big and an awesome place to spend time. Most of the time we had it to ourselves anyway, but on the odd occasion someone was there, it was actually quite nice. Our villa was super clean, well-equipped and better than in the photos. The showers and air con worked really well, as did the layout of the place. The 3 villas are set in charming grounds, out of the town and in what appears to be an olive grove. Ian 's availability was great - always on hand but not remotely intrusive. He gave us some great local info - the local beaches sheet formed the basis of our stay there and we loved all the beaches, the ruins at Aptera and the local tavern the Rabbit. We ate there twice and although communication was a little tricky, we ended up with delicious inexpensive food and were given some freebies. Ian's place is hidden away from the tourist drag - he kindly met us in Souda and we followed him back. It's so well- situated for lots of day trips. We were so lucky to have found it and wished we'd booked for longer. We plan to come next year and stay for a couple of weeks. Great value for money, super relaxing - a real treasure of a find.”
