Steps lead down from the kitchen terrace to the large swimming pool and terraces, where there are ample sun-beds, tables and chairs. Pool heating is available for off peak rentals. From the swimming pool terrace you can also access the pool table. At the far end of the swimming pool, further steps lead to the olive grove, hammock and viewing platform.
Inside the villa, you will find an open plan living area. A stunning stone arch divides the dining area and living room. The living room is comfortably furnished and well equipped with smart TV, blu-ray player, bluetooth speaker and playstation 4 with games. A library of DVDs is available for guests to use. My husband David and I have always been regular visitors to the greek islands since our honeymoon 40 years ago. The beautiful island of Corfu and it's wonderful people kept drawing us back and it was here we decided to build our own holiday home. We loved the traditional village of Spartilas, known for it's spectacular views of the island. When we first visited our plot of land, a host of brightly coloured butterflies covered the vegetation. They still visit the gardens today and the villa takes its name from them- 'petalutha' is the greek word for butterfly. The views from the land took our breath away and we knew we had found the perfect location for our build. Over the next year we designed our villa to maximise the views from all rooms and terraces. It was an exciting task. We have been enjoying holidays at the villa with our friends and family for over ten years. As it is our own personal home, we have equipped it very well and provide more than most rental properties. We have made many friends on the island and have enjoyed their hospitality. You will be assured of a warm welcome from the Corfiot people.
