Villa Helios, Almyrida. Near Beach/tavernas. Private Pool & Quiet

Great place to stay Although the handover time was 5:00 p.m., John informed us at noon that we could already take over the house. The key handover was very easy and perfect. The pool was wonderful. Recommended at any time. 6/22/2022 at 7:24 PM

Beautiful villa with a fantastic pool We spent our summer vacation 2021 in Villa Helios. Our expectations were exceeded, the villa meets all the criteria described in terms of furnishings and fittings. The pool is a dream, wonderfully large, clean, we spent a lot of time here. But also the distance to the beach is moderate, we preferred Kalyves beach to Almyrida, but that's a matter of taste. Landlord John was extremely friendly and always helpful. Well, I'm back at work sitting at my desk and just thinking what a fantastic 2 weeks we have just had at your villa, I think one of the reasons we like it so much is the peace and quiet and all the space you have especially around the pool. We've stayed in other villas but yours are by far the favorite, also we like to be left alone which you do really well. We have contact numbers should we need them and whenever anyone was around they just got on with what they were doing and didn't feel the need to try and force a conversation which I really like. Thanks again, we hope to return soon.

We have stayed in these villas for the last 5 years and find them an excellent choice for our family of 7 the oldest is 75 and the youngest just 18 months. The villas are situated just far enough out for them to be quiet and private with plenty of room for the kids to run around with out disturbing any one or getting in to trouble. but close enough to be able to walk to the local village or just a couple of minutes from the beach and all the tavernas shops etc. The villas are well appointed with all the things required for a holiday home. I would recommend them to any body looking for a family holiday or a quiet place to stay with all the fun and noise of a Greek seaside resort just a couple of minutes drive or taxi ride away.

What can I say about Villa Helios, other than wow?!!! The views of the snow-capped mountains literally take your breath away. We arrived at night and had no idea they were even there so when my daughter Annabelle opened the shutters in the morning and stepped out onto the pool patio she was simply speechless! The house itself is pretty much perfect as a holiday villa for 3 generations, with my parents happy on the ground floor bedroom and their own bathroom, with myself and husband upstairs in the master bedroom (next to the upstairs bathroom - almost an ensuite!) with the kids in their own twin bedrooms. It really is a luxury for us all to have our own balconies so we all spent a little bit of quiet time in our own respective areas. Luxury for the grown ups while the kids played in the pool! April is a great time to see Crete I can thoroughly reconnend it. We lived the location, and not being directly overlooked by other villas like in Almyrida. Already planning to come back next year as I see Ryanair is doing flights direct to Chania from Manchester (£37.99 each way? I can hardly believe it!!!)
