Milos Bay Villas (sleeps 6)

Everything people have said before me is an absolute truth, so I will not repeat those facts. For me this experience is the closest thing to paradise, as I imagine. Thank you Tasos, for being such a perfect host, always available for us. You've created heaven on earth. Also, I have to commend the great staff, led by good man Jimmy. This property is not easy to maintain, so, respect for you guys. Nothing I say can not describe Milos Bay Villas good enough. After this one, summer holidays will never be the same. p.s. The beach is nude friendly :)

We normally don't repeat places where we go for travel or holidays. We want to experience something new, find places that are better in something than the places we have been to, etc. But there is an exception. We have been to Milos bay villas in Lefkada for six times now. That alone is a proof that we really like the place and can not think of a better alternative for our summer seaside holiday. Why? Well, to start, the location is unbeatable: on a hill, facing west (think magnificant sunsets), with private steps (222 of them) to one nicest beaches on the whole island (being famous for its beaches, so being the best doesn't come easy). Each house has a big terrace and a private swimming pool and all the ammenities you can think of. A breakfast and dinner with a better view than any of the restaurants (including the famous Raxi) has, a walk to the beach when it is still empty (10 am, before people from the village come), lazy hours in the shade next to the pool. Can one ask for more? There is only a slight possibility for improvement: better wifi signal in the house (if you can't live without being connected) and a bit better equipped kitchen (sharper knives and better pots if you want to use your vacation time for cooking).

This place called Milosbay villas is for sure one of the most beautiful places to stay not only from Lefkada but at least from Ionic Islands. Comfort and loneliness, genuine beauty of the nature, romantic evenings, incredible shiny mornings with 2 miles of empty beach on your feet, discretion everywhere around and always somebody from the staff to help if you need, perfect pool, 2,4 m deepest, traditional stone houses with huge outdoor spaces, walking safety to the same infinity beach during sunset, simply pleasure that we were so lucky to get all together in our week in this blessed place. I am very grateful to you Tasos for persuading us with all your kindness and patiance to choose small villa for 2 couples. You were everytime available to talk by phone or by mail about my questions and finally everything was perfect. During our staying we had a good mixture of leisure and adrenaline. Having a car that is very useful in Lefkada, we went to four beaches from west coast, Khatisma,Kalamitsti,Egreme and Porto Katsiki but the best remaind , undoubtely, our Milos beach. We made Paragliding with great Akis and I fully recomend to try this experience in Lefkada where the wind is very adequate and there are skillful and reliable persons as Akis from lefkadaparagliding.gr. Another day we made kayak trip with special George from odysea.gr and the colour of Lefkada sea from kayak is never to be forgotten. Of course, we didn'n miss to hire a boat from Nidri with 30 hp and one long day we wondered around Skorpius, Meganisi and other small islands by our own, making stops wherever we wanted to have a "private" beach for one hour or to eat moules and shrimps on Meganisi taverna up in the village. So many things in one week and every evening on milosbay villa, staying all four of us, all over 50, with a large whisky on rocks, looking to the incredibles sunsets, remembering the day and planning the next... Great things you did Tasos with this place, thank you very much and all the best to you and to your visitors.

We spent two weeks at Milos Bay and it was one of the best holidays I have had. The houses are beautiful with jacuzzi showers en-suite, infinity swimming pools and terraces which you allow everyone in your house to find a quite spot to read or snooze in the sun. The staff are super-friendly and always around during the day should you need them. Meet you on arrival, help with bags, clean house twice a week and assist with bags again on departure. We asked for some extra sunbeds and delivered next morning. We even found the lights on steps outside very bright at night and covered with a blanket. They saw we had done it and next night they had turned them off for the rest of our stay without even asking. A++ service. Tasos the owner answered all our questions before our trip and introduced himself during our stay. I would like to point out that Greece is a little behind in payment methods and we paid by bank transfer. We were a little wary of doing this due to many scams in papers with villas. When we arrived in Preveza airport and the avis office used a pen and some tracing paper to make a copy of my credit card, it made me realise that Paypal etc. is not the norm. Avis didn't even have a computer in office. The beach is down steps which others have mentioned, but it gives you some exercise everyday. In the early morning and evening it is private beach as anyone else must climb over hill from Agios Nikitos to get to Villa. Some days it was still and amazing for snorkelling, others were windy with waves. The sunsets and the view in general from the villas I will never in my life forget, throughly amazing. Simple tip: Stay here, it is the best spot on whole island, maybe in Greece and in my top 5 of all time. Village 3 mins away in car with fresh bread etc. available plus restaurants and pretty looking port. Lefkas the main town is 20 mins in car and has big supermarkets to stock up on supplies.
