Gite Ciel, Domaine De Roudeille
Gite with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and shared pool in Saverdun, the South of France
From €900 per week
Sunny gîte overlooking the heated swimming pool and gardens.
Overview
Situated at the gateway to the Ariège Pyrenees, our charming farmhouse (built in 1786) is surrounded by gardens, fields and forest.
The peace and quiet of the surrounding countryside make Domaine de Roudeille an ideal setting for rest and relaxation. Depending on the time of year, you can admire the fields of sunflowers, watch animals such as red squirrels, deer and many varieties of birds and butterflies, or enjoy the fresh fruit from our garden - cherries, figs, walnuts...
Domaine de Roudeille is also an ideal base from which to explore this perhaps lesser-known but fascinating region of France. Toulouse, Carcassonne, Narbonne, Andorra and Spain are all easily accessible destinations for a day's visit. The region also offers a wide choice of walks closer to home: medieval villages, Cathar castles, hikes, caves, etc.
Gîte Ciel is a spacious 2-bedroom gite on the first floor, with a private entrance, terrace overlooking the pool and garden area with bbq.
The well-equipped kitchen with cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and microwave opens onto a spacious dining room and living room. There is a sofa bed in the lounge to give greater flexibility for sleeping arrangements.
The largest bedroom has a double bed (160cm x 200cm) and a single bed. The second bedroom has a double bed (140cm x 200cm). Both bathrooms have a shower, washbasin and toilet.
We can provide folding beds or cots for children if required, as well as highchairs.
On the ground floor, there is a large communal room accessible to all our visitors, with games, books, maps and tourist information to borrow. There is also a large covered terrace with barbecue available to all.
There is plenty of space to relax in the extensive grounds with a large heated swimming pool (10 x 5 m), a games room with table tennis and pool table, and a children's play area. We offer a range of outdoor and indoor games for our visitors to enjoy.
There are 3 gites at the Domaine (Gite Ciel, Gite Jardin and Gite Lumière) each with its own private garden and entrance, offering flexibility for large groups.

We moved to the Ariege in 2016 after many years of teaching in the UK. The natural beauty of the region was what first attracted us - there is so much variety with the Pyrenees close by whilst still being easily accessible for Toulouse, Carcassonne and the Mediterranean coast. We love the peaceful nature of our grounds which are full of birdsong and wildlife. It is a great place to relax and unwind and still close enough to local shops, bars and restaurants.
