Bellevue House,prades

This was our second time in Prades, and again we stayed in “Bellevue House”. We were 5 people this time (2 kids and 3 adults). The kids occupied the room with twin beds and were quite happy, and we enjoyed each own space - 1 person in a room. There is an exit from the ground floor to the garden and we were using it to leave the house quietly when the upper floor people were still sleeping. I would say the house can sleep up to 8 adults in comfort, or 10-11 people - if you come with kids. We like the location of the house - it’s so much to do in this area, for all ages, and you can travel by train or by bus as well, though we would recommend a car - the house stands on the hill and walking up and down with shopping bags makes a good work-out for the muscles. We were not lucky about the weather this year so were disappointed first to find the sea cold and stormy, but than we rearranged our plans and decided to explore local spa resorts. We visited 3 thermal resorts in Conflent: Molitg les Bains, Vernet les Bains and St. Thomas and found all 3 very pleasing and quite affordable, though the first 2 does not allow children. We also had a very tough sightseeing program and were making BBQ almost every night. We ate a ton of local fruits - fresh and cheap. We even had cherries directly from the tree in the garden. In one word, we had great vacations and would like to come again as soon as we can - probably next winter, this time to ski. Nataly T. July 2013

Cozy and hospitable accomodation. We enjoyed it very much. The directions that the owner gave me were very explanatory, the house was easy to find. We were impressed by its picturesque surroundings, mountains, historical places. At the same time, the neighbourhood of the property is very quiet, and you have very friendly neighbours, Eric helped me with some things. We enjoyed the views, the up-to-date machines at the kitchen, and especially the ping-pong table that we played a lot. I should add that cleanness and the order how things had been organized were just superb! Overall, we were left with a very positive feelings and excellent impression about this place and your skills to organize things to make your house a warm and temporary place for your guests. We were 6 - 3 adults with 3 kids (from 6 to 11) and we were all happy: kids were playing ping pong - and that was really great, we were enjoying alfresco eating and drinking and long walks. It was warm and sunny most of the time. And we have found quite decent eating places nearby. We would recommend Tautavel museum to families with kids. Will do our best to come again in summer.

Our group consisted of 2 families - 4 parents and 5 kids from 15 - 6. Although we are very experienced travelers, this was the 1st time wed rented a house and we were very impressed. Booking with our agent was an easy, agreeable process. The house is very centrally located in Prades, minutes from the centre of a well-equipped town with excellent summer attractions of its own and central to many other regional attractions. Very clean with all the mod-cons. With 2 families splitting the bill, it was superb value. Weve promoted it through our social networks - highly recommended.

We had an enjoyable week in Prades in July 2007. The house in very generous in size with ample room for 8 adults plus children.The view from the lounge window of the Pyrenees is stunning. There is a small garden with barbeque, which is a sun trap.The small town of Prades has a lovely market and we found some good eating places.We wouldn't hesitate to return.

Yes, everybody enjoyed the holiday. It was our first time in the South of France and we will certainly be returning. The Villa had everything that we required and the view from the villa was spectacular ! Phil Collier
