Le Cerisier Holiday Cottage

"Le Cerisier" is set within the hamlet which is situated just 4.6 klms from Champsecret village and 6.4 klms from Domfront, so within very easy driving or cycling distance to get your morning supplies of bread and croissants or for any shopping that you wish to do.
The property's land extends across the road which is ideal for recreational activities if you don't fancy going out for the day. There is also a walking and cycle way going past the door which takes you along various walking trails and past the Chapel and down by the river, "La Varenne".

In our hamlet, just around the corner from the cottage is the gorgeous little Chapelle which is on the Pilgrims route and has been restored by artisans and features a beautiful stained glass window depicting Cherries (Cerise).
Champsecret is set within the Natural Park on the edge of the Andaines Forest in the beautiful Lower Normandy department of Orne. Its proximity makes it an ideal place to stay as its within reach of many places of Historic interest ..... Domfront with its Medieval quarter and St Julien's Church, the
D Day Beaches and the famous Mont Saint Michel and many other Historic and natural sites.

Within and around Champsecret and itself are the village shops, the Secret Knight Pub, Parc des Forge de Varenne and the local Champsecret Camembert Farm.

Domfront has many restaurants to enjoy dining out for the evening or a leisurely lunch which is taken from 12noon till 2pm. Several Bar Tabacs are situated in the centre and surrounding areas with plentiful shopping also including gift shops, shoe shop, florist, garden centre, Optometrist, Pharmacy, tourist shopping and much more. Also the tourist information centre is situated in the old quarter at the top of the hill.
The famous Spa town Bagnoles de L'Orne is about 19 mins away and has a beautiful lake with a Casino, Spa and stylish shops.

Very stylish and comfortable the cottage is 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with extra sleeping with a sofa bed available for an additional 2 people in the lounge area. We have a cot available if required. PLEASE NOTE: Children under 2 years old are free of charge. All children over 2 years old are at a chargeable rate.
It has a fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, under bench oven, microwave and free standing under bench fridge, also a Washing machine.
The lounge area has fireplace with Woodburner for those cold days and nights ( Please note we supply wood for one night only, if you wish we can supply extra firewood at an extra charge) and has ample seating. It has Free Sate TV with French and English Channels. There is both DVD and CD player, internet and WIFI available.
The land across the road is free to access if you wish for recreational activities as this belongs to "Le Cerisier"
We also have an outdoor area at the back of the cottages for guests to use for those who wish to have lazy days relaxing in the sun or for outdoor BBQ dining. their is ample outdoor furniture and we provide a Weber Charcoal BBQ for guests use. ( PLEASE NOTE: BBQ will not be available during extremely hot and dry weather conditions due to Health and Safely and Insurance purposes. ) Access to the terrace at the back is via the top side of cottages.
Please be aware that we are on Fosse Septic so do not flush any sanitary products etc or chemicals down the toilet or sink. We ask that you use what has been supplied in cupboards for any cleaning.
Please note there is a minimal fee charged for Cleaning and Laundry Service.
Access to Cottage is via a Key Safe near the front door as it is self check in. We ask you to place the key back in this each time you leave the property so there is no problem with loss of keys. (This could cause a problem for next guest if lost)
