Overview
La Perdrix is one of two beautiful and spacious gites at La Vieille Gorce. Perfect for couples but comfortably sleeps up to 4 in each gite. Bedroom 1 on the ground floor has a king size bed, bedroom 2 upstairs on the mezzanine has 1 double bed. The large open plan kitchen, dining and living area is beautifully furnished and well equipped. Your private terrace overlooks the stunning heated pool and countryside beyond.

All linen and towels (except pool towels) are provided.
A smart TV and high speed WiFi are also provided.
Surroundings
Numerous walking and cycling tracks stretch for miles right from the door, discover nearby chateaux, rivers and woodland and immerse yourself in nature.
Enjoy a game or two of petanque under the ancient oak tree.
Stay up late to stargaze and listen to the night creatures.
Location
The nearby town of Charroux is only 5kms from the property, here you will find boulangeries, bars, cafés and restaurants, à small supermarket, bank, pharmacy and tourist office.
The larger town of Civray is only 15kms and the beautiful city of Poitiers can be reached in under an hour.

Simply relax, unwind and enjoy the tranquility.
Explore the local towns, villages, markets and brocantes.
For the more energetic try kayaking on the majestic Vienne river.
Experience the incredible Valley of the Monkeys.

Yes Comments about this property Paul & Sarah are a great team! We so much enjoyed our stay. The facilities were excellent and we enjoyed our swim in lovely warm water. We can't recommend a stay either in the gîte or the house strongly enough, both of which we've experienced. Tips for other travellers Ô Chat Rouge in Charroux both for coffee and for meals. Ô City Ven in Civray, great 3 course meal for under €18.

Yes Comments about this property Excellent quality, well proportioned and practical gites. Sarah and Paul have provided everything necessary for a wonderful holiday home. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, great kitchen storage, brilliant fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, lovely grounds and walks, you really couldn’t ask for more. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and totally recommend. We will return as this suits our requirements and we love it here. Sarah and Paul couldn’t be more wonderful.

Bonjour Hello Hallo Ciao Holà G'day Ola Hej from Sarah and Paul. We discovered this beautiful property several years ago whilst on holiday in South West France. It had been empty for a few years and needed quite a bit of tlc to bring it back to life.
