Three generations of our family stayed here July/August 2019
There was ample room for everyone
You can walk to Bellapais there are 100 steps down to negotiate though :)
A cafe is a very close if you don't want to cook breakfast
The contact from the owners was excellent
The houses are old Cypriot style and very comfortable
We hired cars to visit Girne, Nicosia and various other resorts, Acapulco is recommended if you have children
We would love to stay here again

A very good gite, well situated in a village with boulangerie, tabac and restaurant.
Good location for the many delights of the region and with the added bonus of a warm welcome from the resident owners.

When we arrived at the villa, Yusof, the helpful assistant, showed us all the rooms and we couldnt believe it was so big! There were 14 people in our party, made up of a family with children, married couples and single friends everyone of us had its own space and privacy and, at the same time, we also had comfortable spaces to stay together, like the living room with kitchen in The House that jack built, where we had breakfast, the terrace in the Mountain Villa, where we had dinner and BBQ, and the pool area, where we used to have fresh air after dinner.
The villas have typical cypriot forniture, we liked it so much, and a wonderful view on Bellapais Abbey and Kyrenia seaside.
Good value for money, good stay, helpful assistance for everything, we definitely recommend it to whom is looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, and as a strategic point to discover all the beauties of Northern Cyprus.

The Carmichael property commands spectacular views across the village of Bellapais and down to the sea. The three separate "cottages" have been well renovated and have all necessary conveniences to make a stay relaxed and comfortable for groups both large and small. Property ideal for those who like to be in the midst of a traditional Cypriot village while enjoying the opportunity to walk in the hills above the cottage, relax in the many good bars and restaurants in Bellapais, or hit the tourist trail and explore the world of Lawrence Durrell or the more normal attractions such as Bellapais Abbey, Kyrenia Castle (and town), St Hilarion Castle and Lara beach. A fantastic location, a fantastic holiday!

Extra information
Sea and Mountain views 360 degree from rooftop balcony on Mountain house. There are five balconies with fantastic views. Lots of covered sheltered spots in the gardens. There are many steps on the property which backs onto the mountainside and thus is quite private although still retaining the feel of being within the village. The houses have original Cypriot design and furnishings as this has been our family home since 1963. There are many local paintings on the cottage walls done by the mother of the owner in the 1960's. God's airconditioning = The villas (at 300mASL) are in a river valley from the mountain above and thus get cool breezes in summer in the morning and evening making air conditioning unnecessary. There are fans in every bedroom and mosquito nets if desired.
