Overview
The newly designed apartment Luka was originally supposed as our own family flat and as such category we equipped it in a functional and modern style. At the end we decided to rent it for all cheerful travelers who want to explore and meet this beautiful corner of the world and at the same time enjoy the comfort of our home as its own.
The island of Krk is located in Knarner Bay. It is one of the largest islands in the Adriatic and th closest island to central Europe. Its special features include picturesque beaches and coves, diversity of nature and reach cultural heritage. The specialities of local cuisine, famous žlahtina wine, rich vegetation, clear sea and peace are just part of the beauty that this island offers you.
We hope that all our visitors due to great location apartment Luka will enjoy this atmosphere and the unique view of historic city of Krk while visiting us and enjoying its charms and sights. Stroll through narrow streets enclosed within 2000 year old walls to find the sacred Romanesque cathedral and ancient Roman baths.
Visit the Franciscan monastery on Košljun where Franciscans still live and which preserves a museum and a rich library.
An excellent location makes it possible to organise different tours in the form of one-day excursions.
We suppose that some of very known Croatian national parks such as Plitvice Lakes or Krka waterfalls or nature park Risnjak are already added to your wishlist. We kindly recomend it: don't miss your chance.
Even a visit our capital town Zagreb is possible due to one distance less then 200 km (there are regularly daily lines between Krk and Zagreba). This is great opportunity to enjoy one daily trip without using your own car.
Krk's wealth of cultural. historic and customery inheritance will be of interest to all those wanting to explore its centuries old past. Two most imortant finds are the Roman municipium Curicta (Krk) where Krk Cathedral is of particulare importance, as it was the main church of the 1500 year old Krk Bishopy.
You can take part in numerous activities in Krk such as jet skiing, pedal-boats, rent-a-boat, kayak or tennis.
Summer events and festivals, concerts of classical music take place within the atrium of the Franciscan monastery, on the main square middle in the old town Krk, with traditional klapas and folkloristic group performances, art exhibition, numerous sporting events such as cycling races and cruiser regattas which also offer the possibilityof entertainment all over the islanf Krk.
Olives, cheeses and fresh fish are only some of Krk’s delicacies to be enjoyed with a glass of local wine.
